Chapter 9: Truths Revealed, Reconcilement

~Yumi Sakamaki's PoV, the next night~
    

Last night, Kaname managed to calm me down, and I ended up falling asleep about an hour later. 

Night Classes were soon about to begin and I decided to not go to class tonight. 

I can't face Ruki. Not right now.

*knock knock*

"Who is it?" I stated.

"It's Kaname. Can I come in?"

 I got up from bed and sat against the headboard.

"Yeah, sure. Come in." I answered.

Then Kaname came in, not dressed in his Night Class uniform, but dressed in casual clothes.

"Hey... Aren't you supposed to be with the Night Class? It starts soon." I asked.

He smiled.

"You didn't forget your promise, right?" 

I looked a bit confused to what he was saying, but then I remembered what he was talking about.

"Oh yes! Making sweets! I promised I would teach you how to make some." I stated.

"We can start when the Night Class leaves. It would be quite embarrassing for them to see me like this." He said with a slight blush on his face. 

I laughed.

"If I were them, it would actually be very funny to see the great Kaname Kuran attempt to make something sweet." I said with a giggle.

We laughed for a bit, but Kaname's face became that of a serious expression.

"Are you okay, Yumi? What did Ruki do to you?" Kaname asked with a concerned expression on his face.

How did he know the situation between Ruki and I? He wasn't even here at the time... How was it possible for him to know what happened here?

 I then looked away sadly, resolving to tell him what had happened between he and I.

"He betrayed me. He killed my mother. Father told me that he did, and Ruki admitted it to me himself. He dated me for the purpose to atone for what he did." 

I looked down and tried to hold back my tears.

I can't cry.... Not here.

~Kaname Kuran~

What is all of this? Ruki never killed Juri. Juri sacrificed herself to save Yuki. Why did Karlheinz tell her all of this? Why did he even think to hurt her like this?! And why did Ruki agree to telling her this idiotic lie? Unless... He could have been threatened by Karlheinz if he didn't do what he wished.

"Yumi. Don't worry. Things are going to be okay, you just watch." I reassured her with a smile.

"Thanks, Kaname." She replied with a sad smile. 

I sensed that the entire Night Class had left to class, so Yumi and I then decided to go to the Headmaster's home to do some baking to cheer her up.

*a few minutes later*

Yumi and I then knocked on the Headmaster's door, and then the door slowly opened with a creak, the Headmaster peeking his head out from the door.

"Yumi-chan, Kaname-kun! Welcome! What brings you here on this beautiful evening? Aren't you two supposed to be in class?" He asked curiously.
