Valka's P.O.V

It has been a day since Stoick returned with Hiccup and yet I still haven't been able to see him, as Stoick told me I wouldn't want to see him in the state he's in now. Since Stoick came back, his happy mood has been dwindling and he looked like he was thinking thoroughly about something.

I walked into the kitchen where he stood staring out the window at our village. I walked and wrapped my arms around him. He smiled and placed his hand around my own. He pulled away and twirled me around gracefully. We both laughed, filling the silent house with sound. He pulled me close so our noses touched and gave me a light kiss.

"I wish everything was this peaceful sometimes," I mumbled.

"Ah, but what's the point of living without a little danger?"

"Speaking of danger have you noticed we haven't had any dragons attacks for a few weeks now?" I questioned him.

"I have noticed," Stoick agreed with a worried expression. "And I also noticed how easy it was to get Hiccup back."

"Yes, you did seem to return quite sooner then I thought," I nodded agreeing.

"I think Alvin let us take Hiccup back,"

"But what's the point since he wanted him so bad in the first place?"

"I have no idea. But Alvin is planning something and it isn't going to be pleasant," Stoick answered.

I bit my lip and nodded understanding.

Astrid's P.O.V

I managed to sneak Hiccup back into Gothi's house without anyone realizing we had left at all. Gothi was still out helping the villagers and at that moment I was kind of thankful she wasn't there or else she would have noticed that Hiccup may not have been resting for as long as he should have. For the love of Thor! I wish I wasn't here right now!

I sat down next to Hiccup on Gothi's bed and wrapped my arm around him. He had his own arms wrapped around his ribs as he leaned forward slightly trying not to make too much noise. Leaning forward wasn't doing wonders for the wounds on his back. A pained groan had managed to escaped His lips.

"I guess I really should have kept you here," I admitted out loud.

"N-no I want to t-thank you f-f-for taken me to T-Toothless," Hiccup didn't look up at me.

"But Hiccup look at you, was it really worth it?" I couldn't help the sadness in my voice.

Hiccup lifted his head up to me and I noticed the little beads of sweat on his face.

"Y-yes it was w-worth it,"

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. " Let's just try and get you to sleep."

Hiccup painfully pulled himself so he was laying on his back which didn't look very comfortable. I pulled the blanket up to his chin and was about to leave when he reached out and grasped my wrist. I turned around and Hiccup was staring at me. The fear I saw in his eyes made my heart sink.

"Don't leave me p-please," he begged.

I slightly smiled and pulled up a stood where I sat next to Hiccup's head. He looked up at me with those amazing forest, green eyes which had begun to droop heavily. But something seemed to scare him so he fought to keep them open.

"Ssshhh, don't worry Hiccup you are safe, I'm here, so go to sleep now and when you wake I'll be right here, ok?" I comforted him.

"Ok," his eyelids slowly closed.

The smile stayed on my face as I ran my fingers through Hiccup's hair trying to comfort him so he would fall asleep, away from the pain. As Hiccup began to fall asleep, the slightest smile appeared on his face. I began to blush but quickly scolded myself for doing so.

Once Gothi had returned I got a long and painful lecture from her as she had somehow known that I had taken Hiccup out. As soon as she was finished, I escaped outside and breathed in the now crisp and frozen air. I smiled to myself and I remembered how happy Hiccup and Toothless had been when they saw each other. I had no regrets and I know Hiccup didn't either. For the love of the gods he'll probably try and get out again by himself.

I continued to smile as I pulled my hoodie over my head and headed to my house where I would retire for the night.
