This is my fourth edition of The Hobbit Imagines and I am very excited about it! First of all, this edition wouldn't be here without all of you! The first three books with imagines have been a huge succes on my account. I have been writing these sto...

If someone had told you that the quest was going to be this boring, then you wouldn't have come.
Gandalf had really sold his story to you. And you hadn't smelt the dirt that he tried to sell to you.
"It will be fun. Of course they will accept you!"
"Nonsense. Quests are filled with adventure and great times. You won't get bored!"
First of all; no, they didn't accept you. You were a human which was apparently the worst living thing that existed. Elves were even more horrible from which you heard. But humans were a close second.
And second; quests were boring. Everyone made it sound like it was fun. All the tales that were told about other quests were filled with adventure, blood and gore. That was made you scream: 'Sign me up!'
No one ever mentioned the long walks, no food, not so cheerful companions and being chased by orc's all the way to where you were going. That was all very annoying. There was one thing though that annoyed you most of all;
It. Took. So. Long.
In all the tales you heard people made it sound like they had gone from one end of Middle-Earth to the other in a few months. How long was this taking already?
You bet your ass that it was more then six months. And you were sure you weren't even halfway there yet.
That's how it all started. Gandalf nor you had told the company that you were a shapeshifter. The wizard deemed it wise not to share this with the dwarves. They already disliked you and he didn't want to give them another reason to mistrust you.
There was so much fun to be had with this.

Thorin looked up from his map. What did that bloody wizard even think. That he could keep the map that was clearly a part of his father's legacy? He would have killed that wizard before that would have happened.
In all his annoyance and irritation he saw his old friend Balin walking towards him. If he came to talk to him it must mean that something was wrong.
