This is a Depressed Male Reader x Yang requested by TheHeadless88. This might end up being a short chapter. Depending on how I feel about it. This story is gonna be a twist from the usually Depressed Male Reader that I usually do.

(Y/N)'s POV
The room was dimly lit causing my eyes to fully open. I awoke to see no one by my side. The blankets wrapped around my legs. A sigh escaped my lips as I sat up with a small frown. My legs swung to the side of the bed and I stayed there thinking for a moment.
I finally found enough strength to get out of bed and walk to the kitchen. I put the coffee grounds and water into the maker and pressed start. As the coffee started to make I walked to the living room. Pictures in frames lined the walls and shelves as memories returned to me.
My eyes lingered on one picture the longest. I picked up the picture and examined it. It was a picture of me, Yang, and Ruby on our first day at Beacon.
Flashback - 7 Years Ago
The bullhead finally landed and opened to reveal Beacon Academy. My view was interrupted by a blonde boy rushing past be and barfing into a trash can.
???: "Ewww Yang there's vomit on your shoe!!" Said a female voice. I turned to see a girl in red and a girl with blonde hair.
Yang: "Ew ew ew ew!!" She exclaimed as I chuckled and walked up to them. I pulled a handkerchief from my pocket and stopped in front of her.
(Y/N): "May I?" I asked her as she nodded. I bent down and quickly cleaned the vomit from her shoe. I threw the handkerchief in a nearby trash can. "All done."
Yang: "My hero." She said as I smiled.
(Y/N): "Happy to help miss." I told her.
Yang: "My name is Yang Xiao Long." She said and pointed towards the girl in red. "This is my sister Ruby Rose."
(Y/N): "My name is (Y/N) (L/N). It's nice to meet you Yang and Ruby." I told them. "I hope we can be friends."
Ruby: "Yay a new friend!!" She exclaimed excitedly. "Let's take a picture!!"
Yang: "That's a great idea sis!!" She said as she wrapped an arm around my neck and took out her scroll. Ruby stood on my right side as we all smiled.
End of Flashback
The coffee pot beeped which meant it was finished. I placed the picture back on the wall as I walked back to the kitchen. I poured a cup and add my sugar and creamer. After taking a sip I opened the cabinet and pulled out a pill bottle. I popped the top off and took out one pill.
I placed it in my mouth and washed it down with the rest of my coffee. Once I was finished I placed the cup in the sink, returned the pill bottle to the cabinet, and left my home. I locked the house and began my walk towards Vale. It was a cloudy and murky day. It looked like it might rain.
It seemed like forever until I reached my destination. The Vale park was littered with orange leaves and the trees that were stripped of them. The wind blew slightly against my skin as I walked to the tree next to the lake. I examined it and a memory flashed in my head.
Flashback - 6 1/2 Years
Yang and I sat under the tree watching the lake as the sun began to dip towards it. It was just me and here.
Yang: "Hey (Y/N)?" She asked me. I looked at her and saw her cheeks dusted pink.
(Y/N): "Yeah Yang?" I asked here.
Yang: "I want to tell you something, but I'm afraid it will hurt us." She told me. I placed my hand on top of her's which shocked her. I squeezed her hand reassuringly as we both smiled.
(Y/N): "No matter what you tell me Yang it won't change what I think about you." I told her as she smiled.
Yang: "Really?" She said.
(Y/N): "Really." I nodded.
Yang: "I wanted to tell you this for a long time, but I just didn't know how or if I could tell you." She took a deep breath and looked at me in the eyes. Her beautiful lilac eyes glistened in the sunlight. "I love you."
My heart burst with joy as I just smiled at her words. I placed my free hand against her cheek and pulled her lips against mine. The sun dipped into the lake as we kissed. Her lips tasted like a piece of heaven that I always craved. We pulled apart with smiles as wide as we could.
(Y/N): "I've always loved you Yang." I told her as she rested her head on my shoulder and moved closer to me.
Yang: "I'm glad." She told me as we stayed there watching the sun dip in the lake until it disappeared. Once the sun was finally gone we stood up. As we were about to leave I got an idea.
(Y/N): "Hold on a second Yang." I told her as she stood next to the tree. I crouched down and pulled a pocket knife from my pocket and carved an image into the tree. When I was finished I placed the knife in my pocket and we looked at it.
Yang: "I love it." She said as we both smiled and left hand in hand.
End of Flashback
My hand traced the image slowly. A heart with our initials etched right in the middle of it. After all of these years it was still here. As if time decided to leave just this little part as it was all that time ago. A tear ran down my cheek as I walked away from the tree and continued my walk.
I walked to Jr. Bar as he walked out. He noticed me and ushered me in with a somber smile.
Jr.: "The usual (Y/N)." He asked me as I nodded. Within minutes he brought me a Strawberry Sunrise and placed a small in umbrella in it. I began to sip on it as more memories played in my head.
Flashback - 5 1/2 Years Ago
Yang and I entered Jr. Bar and were greeted by drawn guns. I jumped in front of Yang as Jr. walked out.
Jr.: "Lower the guns guys. Their guests tonight." He said as his men dropped their guns. I sighed and looked at Yang as we walked to the bar.
(Y/N): "When you said you knew them I didn't think you meant like that." I said as she chuckled. We sat down on stools and ordered our drinks. Within moments Yang's Strawberry Sunrise appeared in front of her and my Whisky on The Rocks appeared in front of me. We sip on our drinks and dance the night away in the company of each other.
End of Flashback
I finished the rest of my drink and payed for it. Jr. patted my shoulder as I nodded and left. It was time for me to stop at my finally destination. It took me a while, but I finally found myself over looking a small cliff with an ocean view.
Flashback - 3 Years Ago
The ceremony was about to begin and I was nervous as all hell. My feet tapped against the alter as I waited.
Jaune: "It's alright to be nervous (Y/N), but you need to chill a bit." He said while placing a hand on my shoulder.
Ren: "Everything will be alright (Y/N)." He reassured me as I finally calmed down.
(Y/N): "Thanks guys." I said as I loosened my tie a bit. Music began to play as I turned to see a magnificent sight. Yang walked up to the alter slowly in her white wedding dress. Her father Tai Yang escorting her to the alter. When they reached the top Yang stood opposite of me with a smile as a few tears escaped my eyes. She wiped them away as we held hands.
Pastor: "Do you (Y/N) (L/N) take Yang Xiao Long to be your lawfully wedded wife, to love and cherish, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health. From this day forward till death due you part." He asked me.
(Y/N): "I do." I said.
Pastor: "Do you Yang Xiao Long take (Y/N) (L/N) to be your lawfully wedded husband, to love and cherish, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health. From this day forward till death due you part." He asked her.
Yang: "I do." She said.
Pastor: "By the power invested in me by the Kingdom of Vale and Oum as my witness I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." He said. I brought my lips to Yang's and kissed her. Cheers and clapping insued as Yang and I pulled apart smiling.
End of Flashback
The memory brought a smile to my face and tears down my cheeks. I fell to my knees and look at the etched tomb in front of me at the top of the cliff.

Tears flowed faster down my cheeks as I rememberd that horrid day.
Flashback - 2 Years Ago
I walked back and forth in the airport as I waited for Yang to return from her mission. She usually sends me a message when she can, but I haven't gotten one from her in three weeks. The final bullhead landed and people began to exit it. I watched with anticipation for Yang, but she never exited the bullhead. Instead a man dressed in a uniform walked towards me.
Man: "Are you (Y/N) (L/N)?" He asked me as I nodded.
(Y/N): "Where is Yang?!?" I asked nervously as he shook his head. My world shattered as I fell to my knees.
Man: "I am sorry sir. The only thing that was found of her was her right arm. I am truly sorry for your loss." He said before leaving. Tears flowed down my cheeks as I tried to contain it. The hurt. The pain. The sorrow. It's was too much.
End of Flashback
Life was miserable ever since I lost Yang. She was my other half in the world. I couldn't function right unless she was with me. I couldn't take it anymore. I wanted to see her. I wanted to be with her. I reached towards my back and pulled a pistol from it. I pulled back the hammer and pointed it at my head.
(Y/N): "I'll see you soon Yang." I said as my finger hovered over the trigger.

I opened my eyes and saw that I was still on the cliff. The gunshot went off but I didn't die. I looked at my hand to see the gun was point to the sky. Another hand was griping my wrist as I looked to see who the hand belonged to. The gun feel to the ground as I was at a loss for words. The person knelt down next to me and wrapped me in an embrace.
(Y/N): "Yang." I softly said as she smiled.
Yang: "I'm sorry for the wait." She said.
(Y/N): "I don't *sob* understand." I said as she just stroked my hair.
Yang: "It's alright (Y/N)." She said. As we just stayed there. "Your lost, your found. Your hard to pin down. I never know if you'll come through." She sang as I smiled and found my voice.
(Y/N): "Then you appear. Together we're here. And that's all that matters." I sang with her
Both: "Somehow." We sang in unison. She held me tightly with her one arm as I gripped onto her for dear life.
(Y/N): "I've missed you so much Yang." I said.
Yang: "I've missed you too." She told me.
