Joining The Program

(Y/N)'s POV

Rinzler and I got to our feet when the ship neared the arena. The ship came to a halt and the doors opened allowing us to leave. While walking to the aren, people bowed down to us.

It was good having power, but it got boring after a while. We got to the arena and entered an elevator. I put my password in and it brought us to my viewing box. The elevator came to a stop and we walked down the hall. We stopped at a door and I turned to him.

(Y/N): "Put up a good fight." He slightly nodded and entered the door. After a short walk I reached my viewing box. I pressed my hand against the scanner and the door opened. The door shut behind me and I sat on my throne next to the gigantic window.

I looked out the glass to see the competitors. They were all sorted into groups of two inside a holocage. They stood opposite of each other and fought to the death. A camera appeared in front of me and projected my face on a giant screen.

(Y/N): "Hello watchers and competitors. Today is a day of battle. Each combatants are paired with another in a fight to the death. There is not time limit. No mercy is to be shown. Let the games begin!!"

The crowd cheered when the fighting started. The camera shut off and so did the image of my face on the screen. A grid of all the combatas showed up in front of me letting me know who was fighting who. One of the nodes went read which meant someone was derezed. I click on the match node.

'Winner: Cinder Fall'

She had black hair that covered her left eye and her suit wasn't like the others. Her suit had a dark red glow to it. I pulled up footage of the fight and hit play. Cinder clashed with the other combatant. She tripped him and drove her duel disk through his chest without mercy or remorse. Another node went red and I clicked it.

"Winner: Cinder Fall"

Before I knew it another one went red with the same message. This cycle went on for a few minutes before she was the only one left. When she derezed the final combatant I stood from my throne and walked to the window. I grabbed a mic sitting on the desk next to the window.

(Y/N): "Congratulations on your triumph Cinder Fall." She looked up towards me. "But do not celebrate just yet. For you must face two more trials."

Cinder: "Bring it!!!" The crowd cheered loudly. My fingers snapped and her cage grew into an enormous battle arena. Rinzler entered the arena and she faced him.

(Y/N): "This will be a match of Submission. The first person to make the other yield is the winner. Begin!!" I yelled into the mic and they both bolted at each other. They met in the middle and collided their disks causing sparks to fly.

With every blow the crowds anticipation and excitement grew. A buzzer sound and the gravity in the room switched. They ran up the walls and started fighting. Rinzler timed  his step wrong and slipped. His duel disk left his hand and skidded towards Cinder.

Cinder picked it up and closed the distance. Rinzler  pulled out his second duel disk, but it was too late. She placed her duel disk to his neck and placed Rinzler's against the back of his neck. The crowd roared in approval at the conclusion of the match.

She gave Rinzler back his disk and she placed hers on her back. The gravity switched and they both floated to the floor. I rose from my throne and walked towards the glass. I spread my hands apart causing the glass to slid apart.

Small glass platforms appeared where my feet would be mid air. While I walked downwards, I slowly clapped my hands and got everyone's attention. I finally got to them and stopped clapping.

(Y/N): "Congratulations, you have finished your first trial."

Cinder: "What's the second one?" I retrieved a light cycle baton from my back pocket and tossed it to her. She caught it with ease and understood what was next.

(Y/N): "A race."

Timeskip - Race Track

Cinder and I approached the race track and the stands holding the audiences followed us. When we reached the line, I twist my baton and the light cycle appeared. Cinder followed my example and materialized hers.

(Y/N): "This race won't be like the others." She looked at me confused. A holocraft dropped a container in the distance. "Inside that container are traitors to my society. They've been given light cycles that have their light walls disabled so they can't attack us. The person with the most kills at the end of the time wins."

I revel my light cycle and Cinder did the same. The countdown commenced and we waited. When the traitors were released and we speed towards them. It didn't take long for me to catch up to one of them. I activated my light shield and slammed into him.

His cycle hit the wall and flung him off. His body hit the ground and derezed into code. I drifted into a 180 turn and watch Cinder. She caught up to two of them and activated her light shields. She cut them off and they got ejected from their cycles.

They hit the light wall and derezed on impact. I just smirked as I got eyes on another target and speed off. When I reached the person I got out my duel disk and slashed the front wheel. It crashed shortly after and killed the person.

I looked towards the monitor in the air and noticed the score was tied 2-2. The last target came into view, but her cycle malfunctioned. She stood in the open trying to activate it. Cinder appeared on the opposite side with her duel disk out and I did the same.

We reeved our bikes and got ready. We let go of the brakes and raced towards the center. We quickly met in the middle and sliced the target at almost the exact same time.

We both did 180 turns and deactivated our light cycles. We skidded to a stop and looked at the screen. After a few minutes the winner was shown.

'Winner: Cinder Fall'

The crowd erupted into cheers and applause. I shook my head with a smile while Cinder pumped her fist into the air triumphantly. I walked over to her.

(Y/N): "Congradualtions Cinder Fall. You have passed the final trial."

Cinder: "What do I win?"

(Y/N): "Your prize is anything you desire." She grew a wicked smile. She walked up to me and smashed her lips on mine. I was taken back a bit, but returned it. After a while we seperated and she placed her hand in mine.

Cinder: "I desire you~"

(Y/N): "So be it."
