Shot Through The Heart

(Y/N)'s POV

As I walked among the crowd I heard the sound of feet hitting the hard pavement and the loud talking. My briefcase swinging gently back and forth in my hand. As I continued to walk I looked to my right to see a stage being set up in the park. Today was the day a very famous Faunus rights activist would make a speech. Unfortunately today was his last day. As I finished the thought I finally stopped in front of the old dust museum. Since it was closed down a few weeks ago it has been abandoned. It was the perfect place for me to set up my nest. After a minute of waiting I slipped into the building unnoticed. I then made my way quietly up the stairs and found myself at the rooftop door. I then opened the door quietly to find a certain someone already sitting close to the edge. As I made my way closer to her she turned around and waved to me.
(Y/N): "Hello Neo." I said as she smiled at me. I then placed my briefcase flat on the ground and opened it to reveal my disassembled .22 Green Hornet Sniper. As I began to assemble it I made sure to carefully place the pieces together as to no have a misfire when I would shoot. "Are the escape lines ready on the side of the building Neo?" I asked as I screwed on the barrel. She then nodded and pointed to the far left side of the building. I then turned my head to the direction she pointed and saw to lines ready to be used when the job was finished. "Good job Neo." I said as I finished assembling the gun. I then placed a tripod on the edge of the building. As I was about to place the gun on the tripod Neo stopped me. "Yes?" I asked as she then opened her hand. I looked in her hand to see a silencer. I then mentally face palmed as I saw it. "What would I do without you Neo?" I said as I lifted my hand to her head and ruffled her pink and brown hair a little. She grew a slight blush and smiled. I then took the silencer form her hand and placed it on the end of the barrel. Neo then took out a pair of bonculars and began to survey the area. I then mount the sniper on the pod and waited. As we waited I felt a slight ringing in my pocket. I then reached into my pocket and pulled out and ear piece. I then placed it in my ear and pressed the side of it. "Deadshot." I said into the piece.
Cinder: "Good to finally hear from you." She said into piece.
(Y/N): "Sorry about that Cinder. Kinda forgot to put the piece in when I got up here." I said as I began to calibrate my scope. I then took my mask from out of my pocket and placed it over my head and face.
Cinder: "The positive is that you made it to the spot and that's all that counts." She said.
(Y/N): "How much longer until the target is ready?" I asked.
Cinder: "He should be approaching the stand any minute." She said as I felt Neo tap my shoulders and pointed forward. I then placed my eye close to the scope and looked through it. I then locked my eye onto the center podium as the speaker slowly walked up to it. "I have satellite footage of the conference so I will be able to see when the job is done." She said.
(Y/N): "Affirmative." I said. I had to wait for the perfect moment to take my shot. As I waited I couldn't help but scan the crowd. There really wasn't anything interesting among the crowd. It was then I saw something that caught my eye. A black bow? As I zoomed in on the black bow the person wearing it turned to the left slightly. To my shock I saw my girlfriend Blake. She had told me she was going to be with her parents for the next few days. Well I guess that was a lie. I wonder what's she's doing here. It wasn't long until my question was answered. She began to string up a conversation with the person next to her. The person the turned to the right to talk with her directly. The person wore a mask that I knew all to well. That person was Adam Taurus. I figured it was just a coincidence that they met each other since they were both faunus at a rally but I was completely wrong. As they talked they grew closer to one another until something happened that shatter my very exsistenc. Blake placed her lips on his as I felt my world crumble. I felt a dampness behind my mask as I knew tears began to run. I then clicked a button on the scope and I heard a snapping sound as the scope took a picture of the two.It was then the ear piece came to life.
Cinder: "The rally is almost done. Why haven't you taken the shot?" She said as I zoomed into Adam's head.
(Y/N): "Target acquired." I said softly as I placed my finger on the trigger.
Cinder: "Then take the shot!!" She said as my finger shook above the trigger.
(Y/N): "I will." I said as my finger was centimeters from the trigger.
Cinder: "He's walking away do it now!!!!" She yelled into the piece. I then pulled the gun up slightly and pulled the trigger causing the bullet in the barrel to ignite and fly forward. As the bullet cut through the air I could smell the sweet smell of gunpowder and the horrible feeling of my tears down my cheeks. After a second the bullet connected with the speakers head and he fell dead where he stood. As he fell you could hear the screams of people fill the air and sirens sounding from ever inch of the city. I then quickly disassembled my gun and placed the pieces back into the case along with the help of Neo. As we finished we both got up and pivoted. We then ran to the escape line and hook up to them. We then descended the building and touched the ground. As we unhooked ourselves I took off my mask and placed it in my pocket while Neo used her sembelance to change her appearance. I then wiped the tears from my face as we waited. After a minute of waiting we walked out into the crowd and blended in.

Timeskip - Beacon

As I entered my dorm room I closed the door behind me. I then locked the door behind me and walked to my bed. I then got a ring on my scroll. I took the scroll out of my pocket and looked to see Blake calling me. I just took in a deep breath and pressed the talk button and placed it to my ear.
Blake: "Hey baby." She said.
(Y/N): "Hey." I said as I tried to sound happy. "How's things with your parents?" I asked her.
Blake: "Oh you know how it is. The same as usual." She said a little worried.
(Y/N): "Well that's good." I said a little saddened.
Blake: "Is something wrong baby?" She asked concerned.
(Y/N): "Can I ask you a question Blake?" I asked.
Blake: "Anything baby." She said still concerned.
(Y/N): "Would you ever cheat on me?" I asked as I heard nothing but silence for a few seconds.
Blake: "I would never even dream about doing that." She said a little bewildered.
(Y/N): "Okay." I said as I then took the scroll away from my ear. I then scroll to my photos and found the photo my scope took of Blake and Adam. I then tapped on it and swiped it up causing it to send to Blake. "Then what about this." I said as I heard a ding from the other line letting me know it arrived at her phone. I then heard a gasp.
Blake: "Where did you fi-" She said before I interrupted.
(Y/N): "I know a lot of things Blake. Even things you may think I don't know about. I saw you with him at that rally Blake." I said as I heard silence from the other side. "Did I really mean nothing to you Blake?" I said as I still heard silence. "So I did mean nothing to you." I said. "Well you don't have to worry about me because you won't see me ever again. Goodbye Blake." I said.
Blake: "(Y/N) w-" she tried to say but I hit the end button. I then dropped my phone on the ground and smashed it with the front of my steel toe boot. I then began to pack my things in a suitcase. As I finished packing I looked around the now empty room.
(Y/N): "Goodbye Beacon." I said as I turned and left the room.

Timeskip - 3 Months

Location- Neo's House

It has been three months since I officially left Beacon. At first I didn't know where to go or what to do. I couldn't go back to Beacon because of Blake and I couldn't go to Conder because of Adam but as faith has it I got lucky. Shortly after leaving Beacon Neo had found me. Since she was with me that day she knew the reason why I did what I did. She offered me a place at her home since I had no place to go. At first I declined it because I didn't want Neo to get hurt by Cinder but she then told me that ever since that day she deserted Cinder and her cause. After she told me that I accepted her offer and ever since then it has been me and Neo living at her house on the outskirts of Vale. As I sat on my bed read a book I heard a knock on the door.
(Y/N): "Come in." I said as the door opened to reveal Neo. She then walked in and sat next to me as I closed my book and placed it on the desk next to me. Neo then began to write on her pad and handed it to me.
Neo: "You wanted to see me?" It said as I handed her the pad back.
(Y/N): "Yeah I wanted to ask you something." I said as she wrote down something and handed me back the pad.
Neo: "What do you wanna ask me?" It said as I handed it back to her.
(Y/N): "On that day when I left Beacon I had no idea what to do, no idea where to go, and no idea who to turn to. Why did you help me of all people?" I asked as I saw her face go bright red. She then began to slowly and nervously write. After a few minutes of write she handed me the pad and looked down.
Neo: " Ever since I was partnered with you I had fun. You weren't like any partner I ever had. You would care for me, you would make sure I was alright, and you would always make sure I was safe when we were on a mission. As time went on I began to fall in love with you. When I found out you had a girlfriend it hurt but even though you did I never stopped loving you. And when I saw what she did to you I couldn't help but feel horiffied. The man who care for me was hurting. I couldn't just stand by and let you fall into darkness. The least I could do is try to help you. I love you (Y/N)." It said as I felt a heat form on my cheeks. I then smiled a little.
(Y/N): "Neo." I said softly and gentle. "Look at me." I said as she slowly looked at me in the eyes nervously. "Do you mean ever word you wrote on that pad?" I asked as she nodded with utter confidence in her eyes. I then placed my arms around her waist and pulled her closer to me. My mouth then inches closer to hers as our lips finally connected. Her lips tasted like ice cream. They were cold yet warm and soft at the same time. After enjoying the experience for a few minutes I pulled away as we both began to breath heavily. "If you will accept me the way I am." I said as I looked into her beautiful eyes. "I will gladly return your love." I said as I wide smile spread across her face. She then buried her face into my chest as I wrapped my arms tightly around her enjoy the embrace.
