It was around midday, you and your mother held hands as you both rushed through the bustling street. She had previously received a phone call before dragging you out the door, although her face showed pain and grief as you followed her lead.

She hadn't told you where the both of you where headed, nor did she leave time to explain the tears which rolled down her porcelain cheeks. You had just been dancing around playfully in the living room before she rushed in and grabbed your hand, leading you to the door where she stuffed your miniature figure into a black, woollen coat prior to shepherding you out into the violent, dense rain.

As you tried comprehending what was going on in the workings of your small, innocent mind, your questions were answered. You mother took no hesitation to dragging you underneath the large sign that sat above the double doors, ushering you out of the rain.

"Were going to see Appa!" You cheered, recognising the decaying, blue sign that read 'Hospital' as you walked in. Last time you'd came, your father was growing tired so you and your mother decided it was best to leave him be. Although you weren't aware of what awaited you.

It took you a few minutes to walk to his room after your mother had spoken to reception. You began to feel her hand shake, her slender fingers wrapped around your petite hand. "Eomma? What's wrong?"

"Nothing, Sweetie." You both stood outside your fathers hospital room. Before you entered, your mother told you something, which you couldn't wrap your head around, "Jordyn, Love. Your father is asleep at the moment. In a few days he's going to visit his sister back in London, okay?"

"Can we go too? I want to see Lin gomo (Aunt) again!" You hopped up and down, your mothers face stayed grim, her eyes plastered on your father through the window in his hospital bed, no movement coming from the man lying under his pale white sheets. How would she break the news some day? She didn't know, she didn't think she'd ever be able to, so she lied. She did what was best for you and what your father would have wanted her to do.

He would have wanted you to forget him, at least until you were old enough to know the truth. He would make your mother say whatever it took to make you forget him, whether he became a good or a bad memory lost in the past.

"We can't, Sweetie. Your father.. he doesn't know when he'll be coming back. So let's go say goodbye, okay? You might not see him for a while so make it worth it. In you go Sweetie." She smiled down at you, her cheeks slightly tinted pink after crying lightly. You pulled a confused face, wondering why your father would be leaving you for so long, but you pulled the handle of the door down anyways, swinging it open before walking in in front of your mother.

Slowly and steadily, you wobbled over to your fathers bedside, wrapped up in your coat like a little penguin. You pushed yourself onto your tip-toes, gripping the sheets that hung over your fathers 'sleeping' form. His skin had changed from a gorgeous caramel tan to a pale, almost paper white shade. Your puppy eyes drooped, new to the sight. You didn't like it.

"Appa? Why are you going to see Lin gomo without us? It's not fair! I want to see her too.. I wish you could take us with you, bit it's ok. There's always next time. Rest well, we'll see you soon okay! Stay healthy and happy while you're away, bye-bye~" You smiled, leaning up to give him a peck on his cheek.

When you turned around, your mother smiled as you put your petite hand in hers. "That's a good girl. Should we go now? The weathers getting worse and we don't want to be stuck here, do we now?"

"But.. You didn't say goodbye to appa?" You questioned your mother. Although, she just looked down at you and smiled. Letting go of your hand, she walked over to her husband and placed a hand delicately on his pale cheek.

"I'll see you soon, my love. Rest well." She left a kiss on his cracking, cream lips before taking your hand back in hers. Suddenly, a question sparked in your head.

"Eomma, where's the beepie beepie noise we normally hear when we come to see appa?" You asked your mother, looking up at her. You never got an answer though. As she let a tear roll down her cheek, time seemed to slow down. You watched the gorgeous droplet float down, before time sped up and the quick room filled with a shockingly loud splash.

"Hu-huh.. hu-huh.." You woke suddenly, sat up straight in your bed with sweat trickling down from your neck and down your back. Panting, you struggled to comprehend what just happened. You sat still for a while trying to steady your breath as you let what just happened sink in.

"Appa.." You sighed. Just another dream about your father. You hadn't had one in ages, but when you did you'd wake up in a state, sweating and panicking, just like now. Yearning human comfort, you slipped out of your bed in search of the person most like your father.

As you approached his room, you wondered if you should disturb him, but surely he wouldn't mind-

Opening the door slowly, you managed to avoid the guitar lying on the floor and thakfully Odeng and Eomuk didn't awaken to your presence. You could just hear the pattering of your bare feet on the wooden floor as you scurried over to the bed. Sitting first, you gently lowered yourself on top of the blankets so you were facing him.

"Jordyn-ah?.. Why are you here, it's the middle of the night?" Jin asked, you could tell he wasn't fully awake but he felt your presence.

"Sorry Jinnie oppa.. I couldn't sleep."

"I know there's more then that. What's wrong princess?" His caring voice, his concern and the fact he could tell when you were lying..

"You're just like him.."

"You had a dream about your father again, huh? Come here princess." He opened up the duvet and let you shuffle in, wrapping you in his arms.

"You're the spitting image too.." You admired his face which looked oh so much like your fathers from what you'd seen in the pictures your mother had shown you.

"That's why you're so beautiful, we all know who you got your looks from then~" Jin smiled as he shut his eyes again.

"Don't get too full of yourself, oppa." You giggled, snuggling into the older boy as you shared the warmth under the duvet.

"Haha.. Sweet dreams princess."

"Night night, Jinnie oppa."
