Chapter 15: Back to normal?

Third Person POV
The next few moments went by in a blur. Well, to you they did. To everyone else it felt like an eternity. Garnet picked you up bridal style (sorry if you're a dude, just roll with it.) and carried you to the one functioning warp pad. Everyone got on and warped to Rose's fountain. Steven was freaking out. He could see your gem crack even more. He wanted to use his healing powers, but they wouldn't work because he was too scared. Amethyst was scared for you too, she didn't know what would happen, though she kind of knew what to expect. She was in your position before, more less. Pearl feared that they would be too late and you would shatter before they got there. The cracks were getting worse. Garnet maintained a straight face but inside, she was ready to split apart. Everyone felt sorry for you, no matter you betrayed them. You are their friend. They ran faster, until they finally got to the fountain. At this point your body is phasing out, parts of it glitching and disappearing. Cracks sneaking up your physical form. Everyone stopped in front of the fountain. Garnet lowered you into the water.

Pearl's POV
Should we even be doing this? I mean, sure (G/n) is a good friend, but they've become dangerous and unstable over the past few weeks. They could hurt Steven...

Amethyst POV
Please work! (G/n) doesn't deserve to die! They're too young! Wait, they're like, way older than me. Whatever, please don't die on us!

Garnet's POV

(G/n)'s POV
Ow. Ow. Ow. OW. OW. OW. OW! OH MY STARS WHAT IS GOING ON!!! "AAAAAAAAH!!!!"

Third person POV
(G/n) stood up in the water, their gem glowing bright and their body fixing itself and their gem sealed. They started screaming and the Crystal Gems backed away. When the last crack sealed, the pain suddenly ceased and (G/n) stopped screaming. They looked at the gems, who looked terrified.

(G/n)'s POV
Ow, that hurt. Can I not do that again? Wait, where am I? I'm... Wet? Oh! We're at Rose's fountain! I stretched and turned to look at the gems, they must have brought me here. They looked scared. From what? I turned around, there was nothing there. Then it hit me. All the memories from the past few weeks came flooding back. The control machine. The betrayal. Me almost corrupting. The gems are scared. Of me. They're scared at what I might do. I took a step out of the fountain and the gems flinched. Pearl stood in front of Steven, in a protective way. They shouldn't be scared of me. I'm a nice gem, just gone through bad times. I need to make it up to them. I have to redeem myself. I know what I'll do to prove myself.

Pearl's POV
(G/n) took a step out of the fountain. I reached for my weapon when they stopped moving and started... Crying? "(G/n)?" Steven asked from behind us. I looked to him, and he started crying too. (G/n) opened their mouth. A song came out. A beautiful song, something the Gems haven't heard in a long time. And something Steven has never heard. (G/n) used to sing so much before the war, but they stopped when the final battle drew nearer, which made everyone sad.

Third person POV
(G/n) started to sing, a small tear came out their eye.

"(Insert fav song here because can't find a good song, plus all you people probably prefer to use your favorite song anyways. Sorry to dampen the mood.)"

Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, Steven, and (G/n) are all weeping. Some, like Pearl and Amethyst more than others. Steven had teary star eyes, but was smiling. Garnet wiped a few from under her shades. She was also smiling. (G/n) walked towards them all and held out their arms for a hug. "I'm sorry for scaring you all. Please forgive me." The first to take the offer was none other than Garnet herself, walking up and hugging (G/n) tightly. "I forgive you." She said in her charming accent. The next was Steven, with Pearl and Amethyst soon after. They all cried tears of joy. "I'm so glad you're back!" Steven said.

"Me too buddy, me too."

(G/n)'s POV
After the hug ended, we all walked to the warp pad, smiling. We got home, and Lapis Lazuli was sitting on the couch. "Where have you all been? I came back and you weren't here!" She said. "Oh boy..." I said.

Don't worry, I'm not ending it here! The story's only made it to like, season 2! So expect more, lots more. Also sorry this was the shortest chapter in the book, I wanted to get this out of the way.
