(G/n)'s POV
Well, here I am. A traitor to my friends. Scratch that, ex-friends. I'm going to get Peridot back to Homeworld, and hopefully they take me in instead of imprison me for my power, like SOME people. I hope we never encounter again, I'm already too far to go back. "So, what's the plan?" I asked Peridot. "I was thinking we could kidnap the Steven." "Ah, and then hold him for ransom until the Crystal Gems help us. We could break into their hou-- base, and get him while he is sleeping." "But how?" Said Peridot. "Their base is unguarded in the dark, we could probably kidnap him tonight." "What do you mean?" "When a human sleeps, everyone has to be very quiet in order for them to sleep. They will all be quiet in the dark, probably in their rooms. "So, who will get him?" Asked Peridot. If she gets him, I could wait on the warp pad for her and warp us out. I'll be our getaway. "You will." "WHAT?!" I smirked at her reaction. "If you get him, I can defend their warp pad. If I got him and the Crystal Gems attacked you, the warp pad would be unavailable, making things harder." She was silent for a moment before saying "Fine." Time to put this plan into action.(Later)
Steven's POV
Well, another day without (G/n). I really miss them. I can overheat the gems talking in the other room. Amethyst says not to worry about it and we should leave (G/n) alone. Pearl says that they're growing unstable. Garnet says that they're evading future vision. Could (G/n) already be... Corrupted? Well, I can think about that tomorrow. I need to sleep. "Goodnight Happy bear, goodnight sad bunny, goodnight playful kitty, goodnight ominous triangle at the foot of my bed." I closed my eyes. Wait, what? I looked over, and the triangle was gone. Eh, whatever. Then, an arm grasped over my mouth. Before I knew it, we were headed to the warp pad, and there was (G/n). "(G/n), help!" I tried to say, but my kidnapper's arm was still covering my mouth. (G/n) just looked at me with cold, unfeeling eyes. And then I looked. The Star(s) on their clothes weren't there anymore. There were diamonds instead. Then it hit me, (G/n)'s gone bad. I tried to free myself from my kidnapper's grip, who I now know is Peridot, but it was no use. They quickly activated the warp pad and brought us all to the Homeworld warp. Peridot finally released me and grabbed me in some kind of bubble.(G/n)'s POV
Peridot is really struggling to hold Steven. Eventually when we get there she gives up and uses a bubble beam. "Enough of this!" She says, glaring at Steven. Speaking of which, Steven is looking at me with those big, sad eyes. Part of me felt bad, part of me wanted to tackle Peridot, and save Steven. But the other part of me took over. Saving Steven would mean giving him back to the gems, and I have no guarantee I won't be bubbled again. He is the enemy. I gave him a glare. Peridot sighed and walked over to the Homeworld warp. "What do you want from me?!" Steven pleaded. I decided to keep my mouth shut and let Peridot do the talking. "I want to get off this lousy gem-forsaken planet!" She dropped Steven and let him fall to the ground. He let out a grunt. The part of me that wanted to save Steven was even bigger now, but so was the other side. Attempting to save him would probably mean I get stuck in the green bubble too. "You have to fix this!" Peridot said while making her fingers turn into arrows pointing down at the warp. I walked up the warp steps and stood next to Peridot, arms crossed. "Wait, what?" Steven asked. "You're my only chance. I've got no flask robonoids, I'm missing a proper foot, and most importantly, I've got no response from Yellow Diamond!" Ooh. That last one might be bad for me. If she hasn't got a response, I might be taken prisoner if I'm not redeemed. "I know you fixed Lazuli's gem. Whatever you did to here, you need to do to the warp! OR ELSE! Peridot exclaimed, activating her blaster cannon. "O-okay. My mouth gets a little dry when I'm nervous." His mouth had better not run dry for everyone's sake. I could see the logic in Peridot's plan. Steven fixed the Lapis' gem before I was found, or so I was told by Garnet. He could fix the warp the same way. He licked his hand, and stuck it too the warp pad. I waited. Nothing happened. Peridot and I both were getting desperate. I do NOT want to be on the same planet as the Crystal Gems, and Peridot is desperate to get to her home. "What was that? It didn't do anything!" "It... Doesn't always work?" I scoffed and rolled my eyes. This is ridiculous, he's lost his healing powers! At a great time too! Not really. "No, no no no no no!! It has to work!" Peridot said, looking on the verge of tears. "I'm really sorry." Steven said. As if a 'sorry' would help us. Peridot started laughing nervously before sliding to the ground. I looked at her, kind of feeling bad. After all, she's just homesick. "This was our last shot! We're gonna die here. I'm sorry (G/n)!" And she's gone crazy. She sighed and sulked her head into her legs. I looked over, feeling even more sorry. I'm divided into two. One side just says 'take Steven and run. It'll be okay, the gems will forgive you.' The other side is saying; 'No they won't. They'll want you dead after what you've done! It's too late for them!' I couldn't deal with this. I used to be a pretty relaxed gem, but this is my breaking point. A tear rolled down my cheek. I've lost both shots I've had at having a decent life. More tears fell. "Hey, hey, Earth isn't that bad! And I'm sure the gems will forgive you (G/n)! "NO THEY WON'T!" I yelled. Everyone flinched. "ALL THEY WANT TO DO IS KEEP ME STUCK IN A STUPID BUBBLE!" Steven looked scared. I'm scaring him. Peridot on the other hand, looked terrified. "What are you looking at?" I hissed. "(G/n), your glowing." I looked down. My body is pulsating with light. A few black lightning bolts dancing off my skin. I need to calm down. Now. I took deep breaths. The glowing died down some and the lighting stopped. Then the warp pad activated. They're here.Third Person POV
(G/n) looked over to the warp pad and froze in place when they saw who it was. Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl. Peridot groaned and ran off. "There he is!" Pearl said, a look of relief on her face. That look changed to startled when she say you. Your body slightly pulsates with light, your eyes now black with (color) pupils, small black lighting bolts ran across your skin and down to your fingers before disappearing. You're scared. Scared of what they'll do to you. You can't think, you can only see the bad things they'll do to you when they caught you. Peridot watched in awe as you grew more and more alarmed as they stepped closer, you started to change. Steven at this point had run away, back to the gems. Everyone else just stared. You had to fight, but you couldn't. If you did, they could hurt you. If you didn't, that would even make it easier. No, you can't think like this. This isn't you. You aren't yourself! There is nothing wrong, you just need to step away, and let the gems take care of everything. If they try to poof you, just run. If they don't, then that's even better. Your eyes changed back to their normal colors, the lighting stopped, and light stopped coming from your body. Even the diamond(s) on your clothes changed back to (a) star(s). Then, you fell on your knees, tears streaming down your face. You covered your eyes with your hands. You just wanted it to stop. No more hurt, no more anger, no more betrayal. "(G/n)? Are you okay?" Amethyst asked. No more. "Peridot." Garnet said with gritted teeth. "Why can't you just leave me alone?!" Peridot screeched. "Gems, move." Garnet ordered. Amethyst and Pearl hesitated at first, but eventually moved. Steven slowly walked back up to you, and hesitated, but put his hand on your shoulder. You didn't respond. Peridot grunted and fired a few blasts from her cannon. They all missed. Peridot tried to fly away, but was wrapped up by Amethyst's whip. She chuckled. Peridot activated her electric shock down Amethyst's whip. "Not this time!" Garnet grabbed Amethyst's whip and shook it, reversing the electricity back to it's sender. This shocked Peridot, both mentally and physically. Garnet swung the whip down, and Peridot was thrown to the floor. She quickly stood up and snarled. "W-wait! Y-you need me! I-I'm the only one who knows about the--!" She never finished her sentence, Garnet crushed her physical form. A few robotic parts fell to the floor. "What on Earth?!" Pearl exclaimed. "Ugh, there are parts of her all over." Amethyst said. Steven left your side to go join the gems. "Nope, she's right here." Garnet said, holding up Peridot's gem. She bubbled it and tapped on the top of the bubble, teleporting it away. "And now she's in the temple." "So, these weren't actually part of her body?" Pearl picked up one of the limb enhancers. Amethyst grabbed them all, including the one Pearl was holding, and dropped them off the warp and into the ocean. "Whoops!" Was her only excuse. "Garnet, she was trying to tell us something." Steven said, worried. "Those are just the desperate lies of a gem that's been caught." Garnet calmly said. That still didn't reassure Steven. "You don't need to worry about HER anymore. What we need to worry about is..." She turned to you and so did the other gems. What they saw was a little unexpected. Nobody paid much attention to your crying form during the fight, so now they all took in what was sitting on the warp pad. You, still crying, hands on your face. They all slowly walked over, not sure what to expect. You could lash out at any moment. But you wouldn't. You're spent, both physically and emotionally. Garnet reached out, and put her hand on your shoulder. You didn't move. "(G/n), listen. We're sorry we trapped you, we thought it was the right thing to do at the moment." Garnet said. "We didn't mean for you to get like... this." Pearl added. "Come back with us, we can help you!" Chipped in Amethyst. Then they all caught sight of your gem. It's cracked. The stress of life finally caught up with you, and cracked your gem.
