Chapter 2: Fate

You woke up a few hours later. out to find that the battle field was empty. Smoking craters and shattered gem shards lay everywhere. "Oh, my head." You slowly walked, feeling your gem again. You soon regretted your decision and your (gem spot) was struck with severe pain. Your objective still stood, you needed to find Rose Quartz and get healed. But nobody was to be found. "How long was I out?" You thought as you walked along the smoking field. "Ow!" You felt a sharp pain in your foot as you looked down to find you had stepped on someone's red gem shard. You could care less who's it was and just kept walking, limping now from the pain in your foot. You eventually stumbled upon a cave. While you were a gem, you were cracked and needed to rest. You walked in and started thinking about things. Things that made no sense, such as what would happen if gem shards fused together as well as a weird tune. It sounded some thing like... You don't know. But it seems familiar. You couldn't get it out of your head, no matter what you tried. You looked at your gem and saw something startling. Black dots were slowly emerging from where your gem was cracked. You needed to find Rose, or somebody, fast. Then you remembered, if a gem is trapped in something, like a bubble or gem artifact, it cannot corrupt further. You knew how to make a makeshift gem trap, but had no idea how to bubble yourself, not that you would want to. But you had a few ideas. No, no no no. Ugh, the corruption is affecting your thought process! You soon had carved a hole the same shape as your gem in the back wall of the cave with your weapon, some old gem language around it. You then regretfully placed your gem in the hole, hoping that somehow, someone somewhere would find you. If not, you had just sealed your fate for all of eternity.
