Chapter 5: Jailbreak (My way)

Jailbreak (my way)

You wake up to the sound of faint singing, beckoning you from the realm of sleep. You look around, seeing you were now in some type of green, triangular prison cell. A yellow energy field being your only obstruction between you, and freedom. You made a mental note not to mess with Jasper again. Out of curiosity, you touched the yellow field and you were met with a hard, stinging pain in your hand. You let out an "ARGH!" As your hand glitched for a couple seconds. Reality swept in. 'What happened? Where is everyone? Is Steven ok? What is this force field made of?' You sat quietly in your cell as you heard some faint yelling. It sounded like... Ruby? That meant they had probably defeated Garnet somehow. You had met Ruby once before, when Rose was teaching Garnet how to stay fused. That soft singing too... It sounds like... Sapphire? Huh, neat. So Garnet is gone, for now at least. What else could you hear? Whatever it was it didn't matter, as you could see that Jasper and Peridot were walking down the hall, nearing your cell. You ran to the far corner of the room, legs tucked into your chest. 'Don't see me don't see me don't see me' you repeated in your head, hoping they didn't notice or care about you. But of course, they noticed. Jasper started mocking you from outside, but you didn't want to or care to listen to what she said. "Hey! I'm talking to you!" She said as she tapped the wall outside your cell and dissipated the force field. Now's your chance! You took off past Jasper, past Peridot, and took a right at the end of the corridor.

Peridot's POV

That buff orange idiot! She let the prisoner loose! As if my job wasn't hard enough already! Now I have to deal with a prison break! "Great job!" I called to Jasper, who looked over to me. "You should have stopped me!" That unreasonable CLOD! UGH!

Your POV
You ran around the ship's prison, searching for somebody, anybody! You kept running until you ran into Steven and Ruby. Literally.
"Ow..." Steven said rubbing his head. "Sorry! Sorry!" You said until you realized who it was. "Steven! Ruby! How did you get past the force field?" "That's not important now. What is important is that I find Sapphire." Ruby said, determined look on her tiny face. "Alright. Here's the plan. We split up." "That's a terrible idea!" Steven chipped in. You were kind of surprised, he isn't one to interrupt someone like that. "In the horror movie, splitting up is the worst thing to do." Steven said, trying to be funny. "This isn't a 'horror movie' Steven." "Yeah, I know." Steven said sheepishly. "Whatever, we need to split up. Steven, Ruby, you go find Sapphire, I'll find everyone else." "Sounds good to me!" Says Ruby, immediately taking off down the hall towards the singing. "Ruby wait up!" Steven runs off to join her. "Good luck..." You whispered to yourself. You watched them until they were out of sight. You snapped out of your daze when you heard big, hulking footsteps. Assuming it was Jasper, you took off, looking for Pearl and Amethyst. Hiding behind a corner, you hoped whoever was following you didn't care to check behind them as they passed you. Your prediction was right, it was Jasper, along with Peridot, slightly jogging behind her. The second they passed, you took off again, running through halls and halls of cells. 'I think I'm lost' you thought as you had no idea where you were. You looked around. You were in some kind of round meeting room. You heard talking in in the next room. You peeked your head around the corner to see Ruby and Sapphire fusing into Garnet, Steven watching. You were gonna eavesdrop when you felt a hand grip your neck, throwing you to the other side of the room with a loud "THUD!" You let out a shriek of pain as you looked up to see who your attacker was. Of course. It was Jasper. Why couldn't she just leave you alone? "I finally have you, (G/n). I'm gonna do what I should have done a long time ago." She picked you up by the collar of your (shirt, dress, etc.) and raised her fist, ready to punch. You winced, ready for the inevitable.

Garnet's POV.
I was back, together forever. I had hoped to wait for Steven's birthday to reveal that I was a fusion, but based on the circumstances, that was an impossibility. I was going to walk with Steven to find the others, when we heard a commotion in the next room. I ran in there as fast as I could to find Jasper, hand reeled back into a fist, about to hit (G/n). "Jasper!" I yelled, hoping that she would stop and turn to me. She did, and with this moment of hesitation, (G/n) kicked Jasper in the stomach with both feet, causing Jasper's grip to cease and causing (G/n) to fall to the floor. Getting up quickly, (G/n) then quickly sped away, earning an annoyed growl from Jasper.

Third person POV
And so, Garnet and Jasper engage in a battle, you know what happens.

Your POV
You ran as fast as you could, thankful that Garnet came when she did. You would thank her later, if you were both still alive. You assumed that whatever this vessel was, it was probably headed for Homeworld, since you weren't dead yet. So you decided to go to the control room, if you could find it in this blasted place. After a minute or so of running, you saw the Lapis from earlier, she was trapped in a cell. You wondered why she was there? Wasn't she on their side? Whatever, you'd go get her later, after you checked in with the others. You eventually found the control bridge, but you were a little late. Pearl was at the nonexistent wheel of the ship, her eyes all flashy and weird. Peridot had been tied up by Amethyst. Steven turned and looked at you with Starry eyes. "(G/n)!" He said, clearly happy you weren't dead. You just responded back with "Does Pearl actually know how to fly this thing?" "Nope." Said Amethyst. "Don't touch that! You clods have no idea what you're doing!" Peridot yelled. "You be quiet!" You yelled, still kind of angry. At this point, you hated her and everything else on this ship besides your team. You believed this is what Amethyst would call "salty." Garnet soon came through the doorway, singing something. "Garnet!" We all yelled at the same time, with the exception of Pearl, who was still stunned from controlling the ship. "This ship is going down!" Garnet said, alarmed. "What about Lapis?" Steven said, worried. "I'll get her!" You yelled and ran out of the room. "(G/n) wait! There's no time!" Garnet said. You were almost at her cell when you heard a big explosion as you were thrown to the ceiling and everything went black.
