Chapter 24: Super Watermelone Bros.

Someone please take over the titles for me... (Not really I'm having a blast)

Steven's POV
Oh my gosh. I need to tell the gems! (G/n) fused wth Jasper! I can't believe they're still alive! Actually, how did I get here in the first place? This weird watermelon body... I guess it happens every time I fall asleep? I woke up to hear the gems gasping and talking nervously. "Did you feel that?!" Peridot asked nervously. "Feel what?" Amethyst said more than asked. "It's the Cluster! Stage one, slight tremors every quarter hour. Stage two, full scale earthquakes. Stage three..." She flipped the drawing board she was standing next to it showed the Earth blowing up. "THE EARTH IS DESTROYED! We need to start drilling RIGHT NOW!" She said. "It's not the cluster, it's (G/n) and Jasper's fusion!"

Third Person POV
"(G/n)?! Jasper?!" Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl yelled at the same time. "What." Peridot said more than asked. Garnet looked furious, she glared at Pearl. So did Amethyst. "It's true!" Steven yelled worriedly. "I was there, inside a watermelon Steven!" He said, holding his head. "They have a lovely community but (G/n)! They were there!" The gems stared in disbelief. Garnet was definitely mad at Pearl. "Look what you did Pearl! You made them run away!" Amethyst said angrily. She pointed at Pearl. "Guys, what are you talking about?" Steven asked. "We'll discuss this later. For now, we have to take care of (fusion name). There's no telling what an unstable fusion like that could do if they get off of mask island." Garnet said. "Alright gems. Pearl, Amethyst and I will go to mask island. Steven, you and Peridot need to stay on the drill." Suddenly, Lapis flew in, landing on the ground and oh her hand and knees, struggling to stay conscious. "Lapis!" Steven shouted. "Steven, take care of Lapis. To the nearest warp pad!" She yelled confidently. The gems all ran into the distance, and a warp pad glow was seen on the horizon. Lapis lied down on a bale of hay, and immediately fell asleep. She had a pained expression on her face. Peridot didn't seem to notice, she was busy doing checks on the drill outside. It was in position and ready to go. A small earthquake shook the ground, startling everyone. Steven and Peridot sat on the ground and waited for the gems to get back. "So... (G/n)'s in a fusion with Jasper?" Peridot asked in her nasally voice. "It's true! But (G/n) fused willingly this time... I saw them say yes..." The ground shook again. "I gotta help them!" Steven exclaimed. But they told me it was too dangerous..." "Why don't you just disobey them? Rebel! Isn't that you're guys' thing?" Peridot suggested. Steven gasped. "You're right. Oh I know! I'll fall asleep and go into a watermelon Steven again! That way, I can help them, but be safe at the same time! Heh heh heh..." Steven lied down and closed his eyes, and quickly fell into the clutches of sleep.

(Normal POV)
It's cold. Very cold. And wet. Jasper's dragged you into the ocean, and she's still in control. She keeps making the fusion mock you, and it hurts. You started crying, and you wipe a tear from your eye with one of your humongous (skin color) arms. Wait. You can move! Now's your chance to escape! You quickly swam to the surface, but two other arms had a different idea. They grabbed two of your legs, preventing them from moving. You were at the surface, struggling to stay in control. You were about to pull yourself back into the ocean, suddenly deciding to keep Jasper away from land as long as you can. You failed, and were pushed deep inside by Jasper. You can't fight her anymore, she's too strong. "I'm impressed." You heard yourself say, thought didn't say it. "You really held out. But now it's my turn." She said. "(Fusion name)!" A loud voice boomed. It's the gems. They've fused into Alexandrite. You turned around and said "They're here!" Before a sudden wave of hatred came over you. Was it Jasper influencing your thoughts? Probably, but you don't care. You want to shatter them. That's all you can think about right now. You've truly become one, and you are truly (Fusion name) now. "You've been holding us back for too long. Don't you want to destroy them? They hurt you! They kicked you out of their team! And for what, just because you got mad one time?!" You can't help but agree with her. They did hurt you, especially Pearl. You finally decided you're going to fight them. But something still lingers in your mind. The fear of failure. "We don't have to fight! You're outnumbered..." Alexandrite snarled. "I may be outnumbered..." You said. "But you're out of your depth!" Jasper finished. "I CAN'T WAIT TO TEAR YOU GEMS APART!" You both said. You summoned your (fusion weapon), except this time, it's less mangled because you aren't cracked or damaged. Alexandrite roared. As if that scared you now. You charged at Alexandrite, she pulled out a whip and blocked your attack. The ground rumbled below you with every step you took. She tried to hit you, with her fists, but you blocked the hit and grabbed her. Your hands are huge, it only took two to hold her in place, and the other two to punch her in the face. You genuinely hated the gems, and you want to do away with them for good. It's probably Jasper's mind overpowering yours, but you don't care. 'THEY MUST DIE.' You kept hearing in your mind. You punched her in the face a couple time before her neck opened, revealing a dragon mouth underneath her chin. She shot fire out, directly hitting your/Jasper's gem. You shrieked out in pain, and you started to come undone. You staggered backwards, dropping Alexandrite. "No! We need to stay together!" Jasper said, and forcing you to stay in place. You resummoned your weapon, which you had to drop to hold Alexandrite. You took a swing/shot/throw at her, she dodged and jumped up, shooting red flame down on the water. Jasper quickly made you duck underwater. You gave her a quick mental 'Thanks' before you continued. You swam above the water, and took another shot at her. She shot arrows at you, but you countered it with your weapon. You turned into a ball, Jasper forming her orange helmet on you. You used her spin attack to force Alexandrite onto the island, crashing down a few trees and landing on the ground. You had a foot in her head, threatening to crush it. After a few seconds of that, she pushed you off of her, as you grappled again. Her top four arms forcing away your top two arms, and the bottom two pushing your bottom two. Alexandrite opened her mouth again, shooting fire directly into your gem. (Unless it's on your back, then she shoots it into Jasper's gem.) "AAAUGH!" You screamed in pain. Alexandrite pushed you over and hit you in the jaw, sending you sprawling backwards. Jasper took control and backhanded her, making you slightly cackle. She forced Alexandrite onto the side of a mountain by the beach. "You're wrong about me." You said to her. Alexandrite tried to open her mouth again, but Jasper punched her in the face, cracking her visor. "I'm not just some corrupt gem, with no feelings." Alexandrite had a small look of regret, probably Pearl's side. "I have feelings, and I feel betrayal, and hatred." She tried to push against you, but you kept her held down. "Why did you just send me away, instead of HELPING me?! Isn't that what you're supposed to do?!" Alexandrite really looked ashamed now. You felt Jasper take control and throw her into the water. "You know, you've really shown me a whole lot about fusion." She said. "It's not just some cheap trick. Allow me to thank you!" She pulled out your weapon, and combined it with hers and made your (fusion weapon) once again. You threw/shot it at Alexandrite, hitting her and causing her to fall in the water. Just as you were about to finish them off, you heard small yells from behind you. "Huh?" You and Jasper said. There were the green Steven things running towards you. They had small spears and bows and shields in their arms. They started poking you with their spears, causing no damage. In fact it kind of tickled. Jasper let out a mocking laugh as arrows flew past your face. Suddenly, a few rocks hit you in the back of the head, making you flinch. This enraged Jasper, forcing you back to having no control. She turned the fusions head and yelled "Hey!" More rocks hit you, hurting your face. Than the aerial assault came in. Four watermelon Steven's dropped down onto your face and started punching your eyes. You stumbled backwards, the Steven's had made a trip wire. You fell on your back and the Stevens started hitting your fallen body. It didn't hurt, it felt like they were rubbing you. At this point Alexandrite had recovered and let out an ears plotting roar. Jasper was in full control now, and you could tell you weren't getting it back. You felt her slam her fists down, effectively destroying some of the Watermelon Stevens and their weapons. "What is this?! You I think you can hold me down?!" She swipe the sand, destroying most of their pathetic army. You suddenly felt something. She's killing them. Blowing them up, and watching their parts hit the floor. They can't come back like gems. You could tell the fusion felt it too, because he/she stopped. That hesitation would be the fusion's last, as something tied around its arms, stopping movement. Then a huge flail hit you in the face, pain radiated throughout your head. You want it to stop, it hurts. You want to just get away from the gems. You want to get away from Jasper. But she's keeping you fused. And if you win, you can tell she won't let you go. "Hey! Don't forget about me!" Alexandrite was back. You became scared. She yanked you towards her with her flail, and you couldn't counter because your arms were tied up. You waited for impact. When it came, it hurt so much. Alexandrite had punched you in the chest so hard, you wanted to unfuse right now. But Jasper's desperation still won't let you. Alexandrite then formed a humongous war hammer and uppercut you with it, sending you flying in the air. You can't take the pain anymore. You regret fusing with Jasper. You regret betraying the Crystal gems. You regret...

Being made.

A large, sharp pain radiated throughout your abdomen. Alexandrite had shot you with her bow. Finally, you felt yourself unfusing at last. You're weak, and beaten, both physically and emotionally. You slipped into the comforting embrace of unconsciousness. Both Jasper and your bodies went skydiving, eventually landing in Alexandrite's huge hands. She kneeled down, letting out a sigh in exhaustion, and unfusing into the gems. Pearl laughed, Amethyst moaned. Garnet put a hand on her back. "I'm good." She said while giving a thumbs up. Then the celebration began. The watermelon Stevens swarmed the gems, overjoyed with their most recent victory. All you could hear were a few muffled voices. A loud rumble sounded, the crack in the beach from when you fused grew bigger, breaking off a piece of the island. It tilted downwards, making you and Jasper slide. Amethyst caught your arm, much to Pearl's disapproval. Jasper wasn't so lucky. Pearl tried to grab her, but gave up. She fell into the crack, never to be seen again. Or was she?
