Chapter 9: Peridot

Warning: this chapter gets kinda weird and sorry if it's kind of bad. I might redo it later. UPDATE: Okay I'm definitely redoing this one, I'm not too happy with the way this one came out. I'll save it though, it has potential. Update#2: Let me know in the comments if you liked the other ending better. I had about 3 or 4 original endings, this is just one of them. I'm changing it now, again let me know if you liked the other ending better and I'll start from there. See ya next time!

You turned to see it was none other than the Peridot from Homeworld. You two just stared at each other until she broke the silence; "Are the others with you?" You shook your head no. "Then that means I can do this." The Peridot smiled and aimed her gun arm at you and began charging up a laser blast. You tried to dodge, but she grabbed you in some kind of green bubble from her other arm. You couldn't move, no matter what you tried. She then aimed her right arm at you, an evil smile on her face and she fired. Everything went black, for probably the 4th time in a month.

Peridot's POV
Finally, I have one of those clods under control. The fast one, too. Now I can start testing. Since Jasper and my informant Lapis Lazuli are gone, I am severely outnumbered. I need more allies. So I came up with the idea of a device that stops a gem's free will. They obey whatever the controller commands. This technology could be possibly used on other gems that misbehave. Presenting this to Yellow Diamond could be sure to land me a promotion! So I went to work. Luckily the (G/n) didn't retreat to their gem, or else this might not have worked. They were just incapacitated. I laid their body out on the ground, their gem facing me. I pulled out a small device that attaches to the gem. I placed it on the (G/n)'s gemstone and then I stood back. After about 4.586 Earth seconds, they finally woke up. Their eyes opened, glowing with the same lights that showed when someone was piloting a gem starship. They stood up and stared at me. I put the headset on and spoke into it. "(G/n), do you hear me?" "Affirmative." They said, in a monotone, robotic sounding voice. Eeeeee! It's working! "Who's commands do you obey? "I fight for the honor of Yellow Diamond." Oh my stars. I have one of the Crystal Clod's strongest fighter at my command! This is so.... I believe humans would call this emotion 'excitement.'  "Alright (G/n), listen up! You are to assist me in the repair of the communication hub! Oh, and take this." I gave them a box. The box formed around their right arm in the form of a blaster cannon. "Use this to destroy those Crystal Clo-- Gems. "Enemy has been identified." I turned around to see those Clods right behind us! "Crystal Gems located! EXTERMINATE!" I stood behind them as they fired a barrage of laser blasts.

(G/n) POV
Enemies found... Assessing threat levels...

>Garnet
Status-fusion of the gems Ruby and Sapphire. Both deemed traitors.
Weapon- Gauntlets.
Threat- Major.

>Pearl
Status-Defective.
Weapon-Spear. Extremely skilled with sword fighting.
Threat-Major.

>Amethyst
Status-Defective. Height impairment.
Weapon-Whip(s)
Threat-Major.

Lapis Lazuli
Status-Traitor
Weapon-Unknown. Assumed to have none.
Threat-Minimal to none.

Too many major threats detected. Execute code 4: Retreating.

Steven's POV
What's going on? Why is (G/n) like that? Why are they working with Peridot? So many questions!

Amethyst's POV
I knew it! I always knew (G/n) was a spy for Homeworld! And what is that on their gem?

Peridot's POV
Finally! Someone to deal with those Cruddy Clo-- "Reatrating!" "Wait, what? No! What are you doing! Come back here!" "We are outnumbered. Seeking nearest warp pad." I didn't program it to do that! I'm chasing the (G/n) down now. Hopefully we can escape the Crystal gems. I mean clods.

Pearl's POV
What has gotten into (G/n)? Why are they attacking us? They've been an ally for... What is that strange metal object covering their gem?

Third Person POV
And so, (G/n) and Peridot leapt into the warp pad, with Peridot taunting the Crystal Gems with a "You'll never catch--" she was cut off by the warp pad. The Gems were left there to ponder what just happened, they had no idea where you two could be now.
