If there was a word to describe the discomfort that settled in Meg's muscles, she'd use it.

The tingly, pins and needles sensation one got when a limb fell asleep now resided over the redhead's entire body. Her muscles felt twisted and as inflexible as concrete, which even made the task of opening her eyes more difficult than usual.

As she stiffly sat up, dizziness rushed to her head, and it took Meg a good moment to realize that the room wasn't actually shaking.

The view of the time vortex from the thick window in the rear of the main deck reminded Meg exactly what had happened before she blacked out. Her stomach flopped, and a heaviness fell over her shoulders like lead. She had broken her promise to Ray not even 20 minutes after she'd made it. Even Sara and Kendra- they've been left behind as well. What would happen if they couldn't get back to them?

As she looked around the main deck of the Waverider, Meg noticed the blood seeping through her bandages, a red flashing on the screen, Snart was missing, and Rip was only just starting to stir. What had Chronos accomplished? They were all still alive, and he didn't get the man he intended to. Snart was a valid asset, but he wasn't Rip when it came to who the Time Council needed to prosecute.

As she let tears well up in her eyes, the merged duo known as Firestorm bursted through the door. They flew around, searching for anything out of the ordinary before separating. Jax hurried over to Meg, and knelt by her side.

"Meg, are you okay?" He asked, studying the redhead who was staring out the window into the time vortex. She was clenching her fists, which caused more fresh blood to seep from the opened cuts in her hand.

"We just left them." She said quietly, her voice void of emotion. Her hands were shaking with rage. Meg was angry at Rip for just leaving the team to save himself. She was angry with herself for allowing Chronos to take control like that. She could have fought harder to keep the ship from leaving, or have gotten the book herself, or even leave the book in the house in the first place. Maybe if something changed- the team wouldn't be in this situation, and Margaret blamed herself for it all.

"I know, Meg, but it's not your fault. It was Chronos." Jax helped the redhead to her feet, letting her lean on him so he could get her safely to a seat.

"Yes- but we left them. We didn't go back- or try and stop the ship... or even try hard enough to stop him." Meg shook her head, resting her chin in the palm of her hand, "I promised we wouldn't leave- and Savage is still out there!"

"Meg, calm down. When we get control of the ship, we'll pop right back to 1958." Stein offered, clinging onto the back of Margaret's chair to keep balance.

The ship took a violent spin again, which nearly knocked everyone to the floor. Rip cursed as he groggily got to his feet, running over to the controls.

"What's going on? And where the hell is Snart?" Jax asked the former Time Master- holding onto a chair adjacent to Meg's to prevent himself from falling over. Rip pulled a few levers, pressed some buttons, and let out a huff of frustration.

"Chronos brought a few little toys with him that messed with the ship's pilot system. If we don't stop it, we'll be trapped in the temporal zone for all of time." The captain explained.

"Then fix it. We have to get back to the team." Meg advised, gripping to the sides of her chair for dear life.

"I'm sure the team understands-"
