"Snart, it's your turn." Sara called, huddled in a circle with herself, Captain Cold, Kendra, and the amateur poker player. They were trying to teach Meg how to play.
"I still can't fathom how you've never played poker before, Red." Snart remarked, his expression unchanging as he put down a card.
"It's been a complicated couple of years." Meg tucked a loose strand of rusty red hair behind an ear after it fell out of her ponytail. Her brows were furrowed together as she studied her cards.
"You could say that again." Kendra said, putting down her set of cards.
Sara sighed, running a hand through her blonde locks. The team had been in the temporal zone for about a week, with no leads on Vandal Savage. It was so boring, and everyone was slowly starting to get sick of each other because they had nothing to do but play cards. Meg tried to use that prism Cisco gave her, but every attempt left her with a rainbow of colors around her and drained energy. There was something missing... a spark? More light? She couldn't figure it out.
Mick had been in a rather dark place. He was pissed at Snart for some reason ever since they returned from 2046. No one bothered to ask why.
"We've been here for a week. Rip tell me you have something?" The formally dead assassin called, her features unchanging from looking down at her cards.
The Captain of the ship came out of his quarters, running a hand through his usually slicked back hair.
"I've got nothing. No leads. I've looked over the information hundreds of times.." He trailed off, sighing in defeat with slumped shoulders.
"You'll find something. Perhaps you should ask Gideon?" Meg asked, setting her cards down on the floor so she could get to her feet. Rip shook his head at her suggestion.
"In order to obtain that information, Gideon needs a software update. To get the software update I need-"
"To get it from the Time Masters who hate you now." Stein interrupted, Jax not far behind him. Rip nodded his head- agreeing with him.
Suddenly, Gideon projected a woman, who was calling for help. She was on a ship, very similar to the one the team was sitting in right then.
"This is the captain of the Akeron speaking. Requesting immediate help for evacuation. I repeat, requesting immediate backup and help for evacuation." She, failing to keep her calm.
Everyone stared blankly at the projection- not knowing what to do or say about what had just happened. Who needed their help? Was it a trap?
"Well someone's plot senses are tingling." Snart remarked from where he was sitting, his arms folded- his face in that smirk of his.
"Are we going to help them or not?" Ray asked, his hands clapping together.
"The distress call could be a trap. A fake." Meg suggested, "If she's a Time Master, she could be doing this to turn all of us in."
"Either way we are going to go." Rip announced, heading back into his quarters briefly. Meg let out a long, frustrated sigh, beginning to pace. Was she the only one seeing multiple red flags?
"Why?" Was her response, giving the Time Captain a look like he just dribbled down his shirt. The red head folded her arms as she waited for the former Time Master to step out of his room.
"Because," he called, "That way I can get the update for Gideon. Either way- it's a win-win." Rip walked out clad in his trench coat with his hair freshly slicked back.
"Or fall into a trap?" Kendra agreed with Meg, her brows furrowed with concern and worry. She got up from her place as Sara and Snart expertly shuffled the cards before sliding them back in the sleeve.
