The Time ship went through a few intense rounds of turbulence, and then landed rather roughly. Meg groaned from sore muscles, her head still pounding from the malfunction with the cuff. As she undid her safely restraints, she rolled out her sore joints- cracking them wildly.
"Gentlemen-"
"And lady." Meg cut in.
"Yes, and lady. Welcome to the USSR." Rip turned around in his chair before getting to his feet. Stein walked back in, looking frazzled from their rough landing.
"If I were them I would have taken away your pilot's license." He said, clutching the file tightly. Rip put his head in his hands, still a little sore from the unusually bumpy ride.
"They are more than welcomed to, considering I don't have one." Rip said. Stein slid the file on the table, and opened it up.
"Were you able to find anything?" Meg asked, glancing at a few pages in the file.
"Savage has been very busy since we last met." Stein said, "Svarog: god of fire."
Ray took the file, and opened it up to a different page. A woman's picture was paper clipped to the top.
"Valentina Vostok. She graduated top of her class in the physics program and then just dropped out." Ray read.
"To help with Savage's weapons program no doubt." Concluded Stein. Rip took the file from Ray's hands, and studied it more carefully.
"I say we put two in the back of her head and call it a day." Snart stood up, folding his arms. Meg chuckled at his bluntness, but Ray shook his head.
"We have no idea what her effect could be on history. She can be the next Madame Curie for all we know." He said, "She may not even know who's backing her research. Let me talk to her from a scientist's standpoint and see what she knows on Savage's weapons program."
Meg raised an eyebrow, seeing the obvious flaw in his plan.
"It's 1986, we are in the Soviet Union. You're American and you don't speak Russian. She'll have you pegged as a spy in a second." Snart spoke- taking the words right out of Meg's mouth.
Rip swiftly came out of the back room with a small box, opening it up. Green pills were laid carefully on a tray.
"Which is why we have these. Ingestible language translators. Swallow one, and you will be able to speak and understand any language said to you." The captain explained. Ray took one, as well as Snart. They both quickly swallowed them.
"Gideon, switch them to Russian." Rip said. They paused.
"Well, say something." Margaret said, curious to see how the language pills worked.
"Я не знаю, что сказать." Ray spoke quickly. A smile spread across Meg's lips, unable to understand a word he said. Those pills are extremely cool.
"почему ты все смотришь на меня? Я до сих пор говорят по-английски." He exclaimed. A small laugh came from his mouth.
"благость, я говорю по-русски?"
"здорово, теперь вы раздражает на нескольких языках." Snart remarked.
"Switch them back to English please." Rip said.
"Miss Vostok goes to a ballet show every four months or so. Tonight they is the last showing of one- and she attends all of the performances." Gideon explained.
"Ray, you will go along and talk to Valentina. Snart, you will go as his wingman." Rip instructed. Meg smiled innocently at them, raising a brow at the captain. He sighed.
