"So what's the plan, Rip?" Kendra asked, tucking a piece of her dark hair behind an ear. Meg bit her lip, waiting for the captain's response.
"You, Dr. Palmer, Dr. Stein, Jefferson, and Margaret will stay aboard the Waverider make some repairs so we can take off and continue on our crusade. In order to do that, we need to acquire some tech that was damaged in our crash landing." Rip explained.
"There could be some tech in the Smoak building.. If it was anything like Palmer Technologies." Ray suggested. The captain nodded his head.
"Which is why Miss Lance, Mr. Snart, Mr. Rory, and I are going to retrieve it." He finished. Sara, clad in her White Canary suit and matching jacket, gave Team Ship Repair a small smile. The two criminals, Leonard and Mick, shouldered their cold and heat guns, smug smiles on their faces.
"Okay.. We'll get started on the ship. I'll take a look at that engine." Jax rubbed his hands together.
"But you're an auto mechanic." Meg commented, raising a brow. The whole interior of the ship was probably way different than that of a car.
"Hey, an engine is an engine." The younger half of Firestorm said, shrugging his shoulders at the red head.
"We'll be going. Try not to destroy the ship while I'm gone." Rip said in a parenting tone. His glance caused a small laugh to escape from Margaret's lips.
"You sound like you're leaving a bunch of teens home alone for the first time." She said.
"There isn't a big difference." The former Time Master shrugged as he headed out with his half of the team. Meg let out a sigh, her hand over her chest in an act of fake hurt. Kendra laughed, nodding her head for the red head to follow.
"Come on, teen, let's go fix a ship." She teased. Meg scrunched up her nose at those words, one arm reaching up to scratch the back of her head while the other wrapped around her burns. Kendra and Ray gave Margaret amused looks, waiting for what she was going to say.
"Uh... You see... I kinda don't know how to do any.. Techie stuff." She said slowly, her voice up an octave.
"I'll teach you." Ray said, offering Meg a smile.
"Perfect! The job will get done faster if we split up. Jefferson and I will take the engine room. Kendra, Margaret, and Raymond will head to the other maintenance room to get started on that portion." Martin said. Jax looked a little peeved at what the former professor had said, but Meg quickly dismissed it as she followed Ray and the Hawk goddess out of the main piloting cortex and through the halls.
The three of them came to a room, maintenance tools scattered about as if Rip was doing some work in there. There was a big machine in the middle of the room- which must be what they need to fix.
"So where do we start? The big tube things in the middle or the thing that screams 'a missile from Chronos totally just hit me'?" Meg asked sarcastically, wincing as her side stung sharply as she turned her torso quickly to face Ray and Kendra.
"Well, I was feeling a little more confident about teaching you until you said that." Ray said, heading towards the tubes. Meg followed, suppressing a laugh.
"I won't blow anything up.... Maybe." Meg bit her lip as Ray handed her a few odd tools and machine bits.
"I'll hold you to the no blowing up promise." Ray said as he opened up a panel. He took it out, laying several tech boards into three table. They all smoked a little and looked broken.
"Okay... So what are we gonna do with these?" Margaret asked, sorting the tools from biggest to smallest before she turned back to the Atom.
"You are going to take these chips, and screw them into place on top of where the wires meets for all of the panels." He demonstrated carefully, showing Meg exactly what to do slowly.
