"Thank you." Ray said, placing the chest of his exo-suit back into place. His lips were still blue, parts of his face clad minor cases of what looked like frostbite. Meg wiped the tears from her face, trying to make it look as if she hadn't been crying.

"Thank you for not dying." Meg grabbed Ray's hand, helping him into a proper seated position. Her hands trembled from her previous panic attack, and small bruises had formed on the side of them from pounding on his chest. Quickly, she hid them from sight.

"You two kids need a moment?" Snart asked as he, Sara, and Kendra walked into the hall. The two of them looked cold- but probably not nearly as cold as they were.

"You okay?" Kendra asked Ray, looking at the relief on Meg's face, her eyes still tear-pricked.

"Dr. Palmer nearly died." Gideon chimed.

"Join the club." Sara smirked.

Helping Ray to his feet, Meg swallowed the lump in her throat, easing the epic pounding in her chest.

"Gideon, what's going on on the Akeron?" Ray asked.

"Funny you should ask. Mr. Rory has escaped capture and is now returning to the Waverider." The interface informed them. Meg furrowed her brows together- that seemed a little suspicious. Mick wouldn't just come back. Despite being tough and grumpy on the outside- he leant a helping hand when needed. He'd help Rip and Firestorm escape as well. But he had been in a dark place for a while.

"Told you." Leonard smirked, "Those pirates picked the wrong guy to mess with."

"But how in the world does Mick know how to fly the jump ship?" Kendra asked, folding her arms.

"Actually, I did the flying." Gideon said, "He received quite a beating at the hands of the Pirates." There was some sort of noise where the jump ship docks, "That's him now."

Meg swallowed uneasily, looking in that direction. Her bruised hands rested behind her back, where she slowly tried to conjure a ball of shadow to blast incase it was too good to be true. Mick stepped into hall, sporting several ugly looking bruises across his face. His stare was blank, void of all the rage or adrenaline he usually filled his stare with. Meg looked down, she had seen that look before, on her own face. It was hard to come back from that.

"You okay, Mick?" Snart asked, folding his arms. He too sensed some suspicions but kept it on the DL. Meg, who tried to keep her best poker face, was not ready to fight someone. None of them probably were- most of them just had near death experiences.

"The ship is all yours, boys." Mick announced. Everyone stepped back in shock. He betrayed the ship to the Pirates!

A ton of pirates emerged from the jump ship- all decently armed and looking rather blood thirsty. Meg actually didn't feel decently taken back, because it wasn't surprising that someone like Mick would do that to them. Casting a glance to Snart, he really looked hurt. Mick had been his friend since they were juveniles.

"What the hell did you do, Mick?" Captain Cold asked bitterly, seeming really angry about what his comrade had done. Mick must have crossed a line of some sort of felon-code.

The Pirates charged, Meg brought her hands in front of her, where she blasted the first pirate away with a shadow ball. She met another one with a ball of light- barely able to keep up. The red head was still not used to using her Metahuman abilities, because the two times where she really kicked ass with them was when she was blacked out.
