"For once, I'm as ignorant as you are." A snobbish voice said next to Meg as she slowly woke up. Her eyes opened, her vision still foggy. Did she have another episode? Did she black out? What had happened to her? Still soaking wet from the rainstorm, Meg concluded that she hadn't been out for a terribly long time like she had originally thought.

Carefully, she sat up, knowing none of the eight people who were just waking up around her. They all seemed to be somewhat familiar with each other.

To Margaret's right there was a man- probably in his late fifties to early sixties- with silver hair and glasses. He seemed to be very clever and sophisticated- probably a professor or scientist.

To her left, there was a man already standing up, clad in a refined metal suit. Margaret's mind quickly flashed to the Iron Man- but she shook her head mentally. He was that guy who's been helping out the Green Arrow. Meg's read plenty about the man in the metal suit taking down bad guys with the masked vigilante.

He turned to Meg.

"Here, let me help you." He offered her a hand. Meg smiled shyly, taking his hand. The coolness of his metal suit against her palm reminded Margaret of how cold she actually was. She shivered at his touch.

"Thank you." Meg said, wrapping her arms around her damp clothes to keep warm. One of the members of the small group of nine said something to the man who seemed to have kidnapped them all. Meg tugged at the sleeves of her drenched jacket, her quick eyes absorbing in as much information as possible.

There were two people dressed as... Hawks?  Yeah, probably hawks. They must be some sort of team. Meg spotted a blonde girl in a thick fur coat, looking like she was ready to rip someone's throat out. Beside her were two men holding rather large guns, one wore a thick winter jacket and the other in a more rugged, causal jacket and suspenders, with heat goggles around his neck. There was the old man who woke up beside Margaret, and his younger companion who seemed to be in his early twenties, then lastly, the metal man who helped Meg up.

Feeling extremely overwhelmed, Meg slumped back down to the ground as her narcolepsy overcame her. The eight others looked at her with confused glances towards one another.

She lay there for a few moments, but after a while she woke up.

Meg looked up, and saw the eight others staring at her like she was some sort of crazy person. Her cheeks flushed red as she quickly got to her feet.

"Sorry... narcolepsy." She explained, scratching the back of her head as she didn't dare to meet anyone in the eye.

The man who kidnapped them gave Margaret a curt nod before speaking.

"Hello. I'm Rip Hunter. I'm front East London.... oh, and from the future." He said, pausing for dramatic effect. Meg raised an eyebrow, so many questions waiting in her mind to be asked. She bit her lip, trying not to speak and embarrass herself even further.

"Did you just say the future?" The blonde asked. So Meg was right! She knew he seemed odd- like he was trying too hard to blend in with his surroundings.

"Nice to meet you, Rip!" One of the men with the big guns exclaimed, his voice deep and scraggly. He put a hand on his gun, but Rip seemed to smile at the action instead of worry.

"While you were out I may have tampered with your weapons. Nice try, though." Rip smirked.

He began to pace in front of the group, his hands drawn together behind his back.

"The future of this world is in peril due to a man named Vandal Savage." Rip Hunter explained. Meg, who was busy studying the man, paused at the name. It seemed familiar in some way to her, like a forgotten dream of some sort.
