"Ah, I'm sorry for making you wait." you apologise quickly as you throw yourself into the front seat next to him.

"Couldn't hurt to be a little more punctual, you brat." he grouches as he starts the car almost immediately.

"I said I was sorry." you pout before sticking your tongue out at him.

You had agreed to go out on a date with him today, but since you were up all morning trying to decide what to wear, you were fashionably late. You were never the type to dress up regularly, but maybe you just wanted to impress a certain somebody. Even after numerous dates with Levi in the past, you couldn't help the jittery butterflies in your stomach that appeared every time you were around him.

The car drove as smoothly as always, and the silence was strangely comforting and peaceful. Disregarding the soft hum of the car engine, you decide to turn your head to observe your lover. You had meant to just glance for a short moment, but you end up staring at him for quite some time unintentionally. Just then, he turned his head around and your eyes meet unexpectedly. You quickly looked away as the heat rose up to your cheeks. You heard a distinct cough from him and looked up to see him averting his eyes with a twinge of red growing on his own cheeks.

After a warm night at the local bar, you stepped outside to be smitten by the chilly evening wind. Your skin prickled up with goosebumps as you wrapped your arms around your chest. Levi wanted to head outside for a smoke, and you felt like keeping him company while he was at it. You wrinkled your nose as you blew away the strands of thin smoke that was floating towards your face. You disliked people smoking with a great passion, but you had gotten used to Levi's abnormal habits.

Just as you were about to strike up another conversation with him, a group of tipsy men tumble out beside you and accidentally bumped into you. Even if it wasn't intentional, it sent your body flying into Levi's chest. His arms automatically wrapped themselves around your waist protectively and pulls you to his side. You couldn't help but inhale his familiar scent of detergent and smoke and feel secure in his arms. Levi's eyebrows scrunched up in defence and annoyance as he glared at the men until they disappeared around the corner. He then looked down at you with concern glistening in his eyes before checking if you were alright.

"Are you hurt anywhere?" he asked timidly.

"I'm fine. Thanks." you attempted to sound brave, but you could even hear your own voice trembling.

Levi noticed your shoulders trembling and immediately shrugged off his own leather jacket before draping it around your slender ones. His previous warmth started to insulate your body heat and you were left alone for a brief second as Levi goes to pay the bill for your dinner and drinks. You take this opportunity to bring his jacket closer to you. That was the second time his scent drove you crazy.

"I had a great time today." Your voice hushed as you looked down at your fingers with embarrassment.

"Me too." He murmured as his eyes stare into yours.

  He then leaned over and molded his lips with yours as he gives you a tender yet passionate lip lock. His slender fingers of one hand ran up the sides of your jaw as he pulled you closer to him with his other. After a few seconds. You both broke apart and your lips lifted into a small smile. Watching your expression, Levi's own lips tugged up with a small smile. He then wrapped his arms around your body and leaned over to embrace you.

In his arms, you truly felt safe and sound.
