* It's finally done! Here is the part 2 to the Creators story! It's not as good as the last one but it's not terrible. *

3rd Person POV

Newt knew this was a bad idea to begin with. The Creators were people not to be trusted, yet they were handing his girl over to them like she was their garbage. He knew he should have put up a bigger fight the day the note came, but how was he supposed to know he wouldn't see her for days.

That week, however, dragged on for the Second in Command, a permanent sulk drawn onto his face. The other gladers could find him either sleeping inside her hammock, sitting beside the box awaiting for her arrival, or perched up on the lookout tower, which was their designated spot.

He was found not speaking to anyone and shutting down any boy who dared mention her, even just to say her name. He wanted nothing to do with the others, only wanting her company over theirs. It was day 12 of her absence that the box alarm went off around the glade (on schedule this time).

Newt dragged his body over to the box, pouting over the crates that held the new greenie inside since he did not want to be there. He would have much rather pouted inside (Y/N)'s hammock than pretending to care about this new boy or girl.

He could hear the whispers of curious boys wondering who might be in the box. He paid special attention to how quiet the boys were when they mentioned a girl coming up this time.

"Day one greenie, rise and-" Everyone turned when they heard Gally stopped mid-sentence. Newt pushed through a few boys to get to the front after more murmuring voices took over the silence. He froze when he looked inside.

It was the hair that gave it away first- the (Y/H/L) locks of (Y/H/C) hair draped across the box floor. He took notice of the other features he came to love until he noted that her (Y/E/C) eyes were sealed shut. He hadn't realized he whispered her name subconsciously until Alby replied, "see, I told you you had nothin' to worry about."

A smile curled the ends of Newt's lips as he jumped down into the box to sit right beside her. He brushed a few strands of hair that had fallen and stuck to her face, feeling her wet skin against his rough finger tips. He chuckled to himself as he felt the wet hair and remembered the time the two of them swam in the small lake hidden in the woods, a happy memory to him.

The leader of the glade turned to Gally before asking, "do you think we should give them some space?" Gally chuckled while shifting his hands until they sat on his hips.

"I guess we should leave them-" he was cut off by a loud gasp from inside the box. A few boys jumped as they watched the girl catch her breath. She propped herself up on her elbows while scanning over the boys above the box. She jumped when she noticed how close Newt was.

"Oh love," Newt sighed, engulfing the girl in a tight hug, "I missed you so much. I said we shouldn't have sent you back to the bloody Creators but I guess it's okay since you're not sick anymore. I'm so glad you're back."

He noticed how the girl was stiff in his arms, her body frozen and unresponsive to his hug, so he pulled away. He was surprised to find her staring up at him with shock on her face.

"Love?" He questioned when she moved her body away from his arms.

"Who are you?"

-----

Newt pretty much felt heartbreak. The kind of heartbreak that starts in your chest and spreads out until you feel the icy pain in your fingertips. The kind of heartbreak that makes you rethink everything that you have ever known and she was the cause.

Newt was too shocked inside the box to even think of something to say. Instead he gripped the side of the box and pulled himself out before storming off away from the box. All the while, the girl was sitting scared inside the box.

Alby had ordered the boys to leave her alone, unsure exactly how to approach this. (Y/N) didn't remember who Newt was, so it was safe to assume she didn't know who anyone was or even where she was. Basically, she was the new greenie this month.

He pulled her out of the box and told her what he tells every greenie: 'Don't ask any questions until I come back.' He locked her inside the pit like he does every time and rushed to find Newt, which probably wasn't his best idea.

As soon as Alby approached Newt, his back was slammed against the closest tree with Newt's hands on his shoulders. Anger radiated off the boy, red cheeks to accompany his tense face and body. Nobody had ever seen the boy this mad.

"This is your fault!" He spat in his face. "You were the one who sent her into the bloody box and gave her to the Creators. Now, they have taken away her memories for a second time! She doesn't remember me, Alby, and this is your fault!"

Gally had heard the shouts from Newt and ran over to help Alby. He pulled Newt off him with his hand on Newt's shoulders to keep him away. Alby fixed his shirt but stared at the blond boy with sympathetic eyes. He never meant for this to happen, he just wanted her healthy.

"Newt, I didn't know they were going to wipe her memory again. But you see her, she's awake and alive. At least we know the shuck Creators kept her alive!" Alby tried staying calm to not risk further angering the blond anymore, but he had a point and he wanted to get it through to Newt.

"Yeah, well thanks Creators! You did a good job half assing it!" Newt shouted up into the air to direct it at the Creators. He wasn't angry at Alby really, just the Creators for doing this to her.

Alby motioned for Gally to let him go and placed his hand on his shoulder. "Look, maybe if you show her around the glade and tell her about her old self then maybe she'll remember. If not, you'll just have to get her to like you again."

Newt hated both of those ideas, he just wanted her to remember right now so that he could hug her and hold her until someone had to pry them apart, but he couldn't do that. He didn't want to build a new relationship with her when he already had a pretty good one in place. He just wanted his girl back now.

Newt left the two boys and made his way to the pits. (Y/N) was sitting with her back against the dirt wall and her head resting on her knees, similar to how she was when she came up the first time. Newt undid the lock and swung open the makeshift door, startling the poor girl.

"Woah, hey, you're alright," he tried calming her which worked pretty well. She stood up, rubbing her bottom and legs of all the dirt and nervously walked to the door. She was still scared of this place and even more confused why this boy hugged her as soon as she woke up- not that she was complaining that a cute boy hugged her.

Newt almost wasn't sure what to say to her. He could straight off tell her about the glade, or about how he already knew everything about her, but he couldn't decide. So he went with a third option.

"Names Newt, greenie. Do you know yours?" He gave her a bright smile, hoping to ease the worry on her face. She felt calmer as she noticed his warm smile, her being able to reciprocate it lightly.

"It's, uh, (Y/N)," she replied shyly.

At least she remembers her name, Newt thought.

"Listen, I'll explain everything that's going on, alright? I just need you to trust me. Can you do that?" He wanted to tell her everything and he would but he would do it slowly, one step at a time, and building trust seemed like the first step.

"I trust you," she said honestly. She wasn't sure what it was, it could have been the puppy brown eyes or the million dollar smile, but she knew she could trust this boy. She took his outstretched hand and let him help pull her out of this pit.

Newt didn't know how long it was going to take or if it was even possible, but he would get his girl back, either with memories or not. He could rebuild their forgotten relationship with his bare hands until she was back in his arms with all the love she once gave. For right now he was a stranger to her, but he would do anything to have him be her everything like he was, once again.
