Ruka x guard!reader

Here have another Ruka one~~ (Okay so let's just say he got his job back after all the bad stuff happened you know what I mean)

"Sometimes I feel so lucky to be a building 5 guard..." You thought out loud, walking through the courtyard during your break, with no one else around, "It has this nice place, handsome guards..."

You giggled at your own words. Yes, there are quite a few handsome guards, but there's one in particular who's on your mind all day.

"If only Ruka would like me as well..."

Sighing, you stood still on a bridge and rested your arms on the railing, gazing at the water.

You often go here during your breaks. It's just so calming, and you could be alone for a bit, and talk to yourself.

But... maybe this time you aren't exactly alone.

As you continued your walk, you noticed something moving in the water. You crouched down in an attempt to be able to identify the object, only to have it grab you and pull you in.

"What the--" You abruptly stopped talking when you found yourself in the embrace of a familiar guard, the one who's on your mind all day.

"Ruka... Could've known it was you." Slightly irritated, you looked to the side.

"I thought you'd be happy to see me..." He commented, disappointed by the way you greeted him, "Don't you wanna swim with me?"

"I have a meeting soon, and thanks to you my uniform is soaked!" You tried to sound angry, but couldn't help the blush forming on your cheeks as you realized that Ruka, your crush, must have heard you talking to yourself, and isn't wearing anything right now. Not that you mind...

"Maybe you should take it off then, so it can dry while we swim, hmm?"

"N-No!" Embarrassed by the idea, you tried to get away from him, but didn't get far as you were captured in his arms in a hug from behind.

"Come on, (y/n), don't act like you don't want this. I heard you talking about me several times. I know you like me, and I don't think you wanna miss this chance~"

He's right, you don't wanna miss this chance...

"Alright, fine, but no dirty things!" You warned him, before getting out of the water to take off your uniform.

"Can't promise that..."

"Mind explaining why you're late?" Samon asked when you came rushing into the room.

"S-Sorry, I... I was..." You stopped to catch your breath and think of an excuse, "I was so busy with my paperwork that I forgot about the meeting."

Samon didn't say anything, and motioned for you to take a seat.

Relieved that he seemed to be okay with your reason for being late, you sat down, trying your best to keep a serious face throughout the meeting.

But... you just couldn't stop thinking about what had happened in the courtyard earlier, and would smile or giggle at the memory.

And to make it even worse, you saw Ruka walking by a few times-- he probably did that on purpose, which caused your face to turn red, and you couldn't bring out a sentence without stuttering anymore.

"Are you nervous?"

"Huh? Oh, m-maybe a little b-bit..." You answered your supervisor's question with a lie.

He doesn't have to know the real reason. Nobody has to know what happened down there.
