Jyugo x guard!reader

Alright, first one! this one was actually supposed to be a Seitarou x reader, but as I brought Jyugo into it, well it turned into this because it fit much better. For every one-shot goes: (y/n) = your name (pretty obvious) so I don't have to say that every time. Okay enough talking now~~~

(c/n) = name you'd give a female cat
(f/c) = favorite color

After you got a cup of coffee, you pet your cat (c/n) and sat at your desk to continue your work on your laptop. Yes, you were a guard and you were allowed to bring your cat with you every day. The cat didn't cause any trouble, so it was alright. She would follow you wherever you go. Her fur was white with a bit of black, and you'd given her a (f/c) collar with a tag of the first letter of her name. You weren't the only one taking care of her though. Your friend Seitarou helped you. He would look after her when you were busy, or had to bring documents to another building.

"Okay (c/n), time to do some roll call. Come!" You said to your cat when you finished your coffee. She jumped off the chair she usually slept on, and happily followed you.

But... before you could even start, you already found out that a certain inmate was out of his cell again.
"Number 15! What are you doing out of your cell?!" You shouted as you walked up to him.
"Oh, (y/n), I was looking for you."
"Why?"
"I just wanted to pet that cute cat of yours."
You sighed and picked up (c/n) to give her to Jyugo.
"Fine, you can pet her until we're back at your cell."
You two walked back to cell 13 in a slow pace. (c/n) was very loved by the guys from that cell. Especially Jyugo. He'd break out of his cell to pet her, like he just did. It didn't really bother you. All the attention made your cat happy, and a happy cat made you happy.

"I see all of you are in here, so no need for roll call..." You had arrived at cell 13, and the other inmates were very glad to see that your cat was with you.
"Say, (y/n), can't you just leave the cat with us 'til you're finished?" Jyugo asked, still holding the cat in his arms.
You thought about it for a minute, but... she always walked with you. And you didn't know what would happen if you left her with them...
"Maybe another day. Sorry guys..."
Four disappointed faces stared at you as you left the cell with your cat.

(c/n) walked next to you the entire time. You checked every minute if she was still there. However, after you had done the last roll call, you found out that your beloved cat had disappeared.
"(c/n)?" You looked around you, but the cat was nowhere to be seen. You checked a few cells where you had just done roll call, but she wasn't in there either.
'Where did she go? She can't have gone far...' You thought to yourself, thinking of places she could be. But the building is so big... There's no way you could search everywhere on your own. So you decided to ask your jail-breaking friend for help.

You hurried back to cell 13.
"Jyugo! You gotta help me!" You opened the cell door and grabbed him by his shoulders, wildly shaking him, "(c/n) is gone! She just suddenly disappeared! I need your help to find her!"
"Okay, okay I'll help you but can you please stop shaking me?"
"I'm sorry, I'm panicking!"
"Yeah I get that. Come, she must be around here somewhere."

You and Jyugo went on your quest to find the missing cat. You looked into every cell, every office, in every corner of the lunchroom, even in ventilation shafts. But she wasn't in any of those places.
You were losing hope. Why couldn't you find your cat? Where did she go? She would never leave the building, so she had to be here somewhere, but... where?
You sat down against a wall and covered your face with your hands as you felt the tears coming up and starting to roll down your face.
"We'll never find her..."
"Don't say that (y/n). We'll definitely find her. We just have to keep looking."
"But we already looked everywhere!"
"So you're giving up?"
You were quiet for a moment. Giving up? You would never! But at what more places could you look for (c/n) if you already looked everywhere you could think of?
"Listen, I won't stop looking for her until we found her. So you shouldn't give up either, okay?"
You were crying too much to be able to reply. What if something happened to her? What if she did go out of the building? What if she's stuck somewhere?
"Hey, (y/n). Come on, stop crying..."
"..."
When he got no answer, Jyugo sat down next to you.
"...Okay, come here." He pulled you towards him, into a hug.
"It's gonna be okay. We'll find her, I promise."
"...But... where do we look?"
"Hmm let's see... is there a place we forgot, maybe?"
You wiped your tears away and thought about it.
"I... I don't know..." You sighed.
"Wait-- I know where she is!" Jyugo jumped up and helped you up too, "I know the one place we forgot."
He grabbed your hand and started running.
"W-Wait what place do you mean?"
"You'll see..."

Jyugo had dragged you to the kitchen.
'Of course... how could we have forgotten this place?'
You both looked around to see if your cat was here, until you saw familiar white with black fur. There, under a table, was (c/n), eating some fish.
"(C/N)!!" You picked her up and hugged her. Finally, you found your cat! You then put her back down to let her eat the rest of the fish, and brought your attention to the guy who helped you find her.
"Thank you so much, Jyugo! I never would've found her without you!" You smiled and quickly kissed him. A blush appeared on his face.
"Oh... I'm sorry about that. I'm just so happy!"
"I-It's okay. I'm glad I could help."

You smiled and gave him the cat.
"You can carry her while I walk you back to your cell."
"Thanks..." He scratched the cat behind her ears, "(y/n)?"
"Hmm?"
"Are you sure you don't wanna leave her with us next time?"
"That... sounds like a pretty good idea actually. I'll do that..."
