Your face lights up at the sight of your favorite guard, Hitoshi. Every day around the same time, he would take you for a walk outside, and that time is now. Which is why you're waiting by the door, almost jumping with excitement. It's your favorite part of the day, so you always look forward to it all morning.

"Hi (y/n)! Are you ready to go on a walk again?" Hitoshi, cheerful as ever, asked as he opened your cell door.
"Of course I am! And you look... adorable, by the way..."
No, you're not exactly flirting with him, you just like to tell him that, because he really does look adorable.
"Aw, thank you! I think you look adorable as well."
Taking your hand in his, he led you out of your cell.

'Heh, silly Hitoshi. A prisoner like me isn't worth it to be called adorable by someone like you...' You thought to yourself, blushing.

Ever since you two have become friends when he started working here as a guard, Hitoshi has been taking you on these daily walks. He simply likes to spend some time with you alone, and a 15-minute walk once a day is the only way, because he has more work to do. You treasured the alone time you have with him each day, and you can't help but feel a little sad when that time is over. You don't wanna let go of his hand when he brings you back to your cell afterwards. It makes you feel happy, and safe.

"Yes?" You looked to the side, your eyes meeting Hitoshi's.
"Do you know what day it is?"
You raised an eyebrow in confusion. How should you as an inmate know what day it is? And why would he ask about that? Is it a special day or something?
"No... Every day is the same for me, so I lost track of the dates..."
"I see. Well, today is Valentine's Day!" He explained.
'Valentine's... Day...' It means just another normal day to you.

Or... so you thought.

"So... (y/n), there's something I wanna ask you." Hitoshi said after walking you to the flower field where you two would always sit for a few minutes.
"What is it?"
"Do you wanna be my girlfriend?" He was now holding both of your hands, a hopeful look in his eyes.
"G...Girl... friend?" You stared at him in shock. You never dared to think of him as love interest, knowing you'd have no chance as he's a guard and you're an inmate. But maybe you were wrong about that?
"But... Hitoshi... isn't that impossible? Or even forbidden?"
"I don't know if it's forbidden... But nobody watches us during our walks, so it could work, right?"
"I... guess," A smile appeared on your face at the thought of you and him being a couple, "Yeah, I'd love to be your girlfriend..."

Overflowing with happiness, you hugged Hitoshi tightly. Now that he's your boyfriend, these daily walks won't be the same anymore. No, they will be much more special...
