#37: How to; Sock/Donut Bun
Hello everyone, in this tutorial I will be showing you how to make a donut bun using a sock. Then I will be telling you to use/ put it on.
So the sock/donut bun, is a very cute hipstery hairstyle, that is perfect for days you can't be bothered with your hair but hey you've got a bit of time to make a slight effort with your hair.
Part 1. {Read this part if you want to know how to make a DIY Donut bun, if you already have one made or just a store bought one, you can skip to part 2 of the tutorial - which will show you how to use the donut bun}
How to make the Donut Bun:
Step 1.
Start by finding a new sock or just a sock with a missing pair or something. Try using a sock that matches your hair colour. So basically if you have black hair use a black sock, or if you have brown then use a brown bun, etc.
Step 2.
Flat out the sock, then roll the sock down starting from the open top end. It will begin to form a circular kind of donut shape.
Step 3.
Once you reach the near end of the sock, cut off the toe part of the sock. Then roll up the rest of the material. Make sure theres no extra material hanging off.
Step 4.
You're done! There you have a donut bun, now you need to know how to use it.
Part 2.
How to use your Sock Donut bun/ Store bought Donut bun:
Step 1.
Pull all your hair into a high ponytail.
Step 2.
Pull your ponytail through the hole in the donut bun.
Step 3.
Pull the sock to the ends of your hair. Make sure all the hair is gathered inside the sock and then pull it as close to the ends as you can. Carefully tuck the hair around the side and into the center of the bun.
Step 4.
Roll the sock down, by holding the ends of your hair at the middle of your donut bun and rolling down towards the base of your ponytail. Your hair should now be gathered in a ring around the sock. You can rotate the sock as you're rolling is down so it is covered by your hair completely.
