Cole was standing in the corner of the studio with his ninja friends. I was spinning in front of the large mirror with Mr. B coaching me.

"Right foot!" He shouted in exasperation.

I stepped on my left foot and dropped to the floor in failure.

"Right! Your right foot!"

"I can't dance with them here!" I complained.

"Act like they are competition judges. You have one in three days."

"I know. I'm missing school to fail in front of Ninjago City." I sighed while taking out my ponytail and braiding it.

"All colleges know you are the absolute best dancer in all of Ninjago. But if you don't believe it, neither will the audience."

"I can't step on my right foot! It really hurts."

"Is it the foot you broke?"

"Yes. It is. And I can't compete with one foot!"

"Take a break. Five minutes. Because--"

"I don't mean to be rude, but show biz has ruined my life. Took everything from me." I mumbled but loud enough for everyone to hear.

Mr. B tossed me a water bottle and placed a hand on my back while leading me out the studio door.

I gulped down the water and looked at myself in the wall mirror in the lobby.

Mr. B rented out a studio so we can practice my performances.

"You okay?" Cole asked while closing the door behind me.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be? I mean, I'm a struggling dancer and foster child!"

"Calm down, Y/N, I'm here to help you."

"It's time for me to go. Showbiz."

I ignored Cole and shoved the door open. I stepped into a room of mirrors and breathed in deep.

"How much time is left in practice?"

"I'm letting you out around 8. Ten minutes." Mr. B said.

"Why so early?" I asked, tossing my water bottle onto the floor in front of the mirror.

"You've had a stressful week with practices and you have homework to catch up on since you won't be at school for two days."

"I have to finish this turn."

"Let's be the judges, and you know, spark it up a bit?" Jay suggested.

"Have you ever judged a dance competition?"

"No, but I'm sure Cole can help." Kai added.

"It's not that easy!" I corrected while falling out of my turn.

"Enough! I need you to relax and go sleep the night away! You are stressed, unfocused and in pain! I can see it in your eyes!" Mr. B scolded.

"I know! I'm trying!"

"How much homework do you have? I want you relaxed."

"I finished most of it in detention." I whispered.

"Detention again? What this time?"

"You're going to be a bit mad... um, late assignments?" I nervously said, more of a question.
