It has been almost a week since the fire in the building. I am still trying to get along without my grandmother. She went into assisted living two days ago when she was realeased from the hospital. As for me, I've been living in the tree of Ninjago.

Today I have a meeting with everyone from my apartment building. We are discussing the cause of the fire and what will happen now.

I walked into the community center and found room 3b. I opened the door and found myself among my previous neighbors.

Mrs. Trumpham saw me enter the room. She wrapped me into a comforting hug and patted my back.

"I am sorry about your grandmother. We are all upset."

I gave her a slight smile.

"Thank you, it means a lot."

I walked behind her and followed her to a circle of chairs. I sat next to Mrs. T and waited for the meeting to start.

After ten minutes of hugging all my neighbors, the meeting started. The landlord, Mr. Parker, started discussing the cause of the fire.

"You are all gathered here today to discuss how this fire happened and what will take place. Let's begin. The firemen say the fire was caused by a gas leak in the basement. A box of matches were found in the dumpster in the back of the building. This implies that the fire was set. There is no proof of who set the fire, but, the match box is in the hands of the police for fingerprint scanning. Because this may have been a set fire, I cannot force you to live out of the building. All residents of the building are allowed into their previous rooms after this meeting to claim all belongings that were uneffected."

"Where are we to live?" Mr. Gates asked.

"I am happy you have brought this up. The LandLow Apartment Complex will be moved to a new location in Ninjago City. Since the previous building had full fire insurance, all of your rooms will not need to be repurchased. But you will still have rent for future months. But your previous rent will be uneffected. I will also need a list of all your belongings, they will be replaced with no cost. Now if you choose to leave the LandLow Apartment Complex Family, your items will still be replaced but you will need to find somewhere else to live."

A wave of happy faces showered around the room.

"What about (Y/N)?" Mrs. T asked.

I looked at her in confusion and she smiled warmly at me.

"Since your apartment was under the listing of your grandmother, you as an individual are not part of this family. But, I would be honored to make you part of this family at our new complex. The decision is yours. But either way, all of youre belongings will be cashed out to you in full value." Mr. Parker said happily.

"I would love to be part of your family, but my grandma is using the money I've saved up." I said softly.

"Well where have you been staying?" he asked me. I shrugged, "Here and there. I actually haven't been staying anywhere, just the trees."

Gasps could be heard from the crowd, especially Mrs. T. "Yeah, that's not happening." Mrs. T said.

"I certainly do not. I wish I would be able to give you a free room but I am unable to do that." Mr. Parker said.

"I offer my love and support. I offer to take Y/N in and pay for a room for her."

"No, that is completely unnecessary, I couldn't let you do that." I protested.
