Helllloooo people!

It's been a while since I've written in this, partially because it's been culminating/summative time partially because I'm just plain lazy

ANYWAYS

so today I felt like ranting about friends. Okay scratch that. I'm not RANTING. I'm more...discussing. Yeah. We'll go with that.

HERE WE GO!

so see i'm not a "social butterfly" and i'm not exactly a "group hopper"...simply put i just happen to have friends...everywhere! literally, i can't go two minutes in the hall without saying high to at least 5 people. i have just happened to click with a lot of people in high school, especially cause there are tons of people IN high school to become friends with!

but of course i don't consider all of these friends my BEST friends. it'll take a lot for you to become my best friend. and lately i've properly noticed who my friends are and whatnot, and who i truly trust or who i think respects me.

anyways but lately i started compartmentalizing and almost "labelling" (NOT IN A BAD WAY) my friends. And i considered to do it like rings of the family. because hey, friends are family in a sense.

Ring 1: The Sibling Ring

i only truly have two friends in this ring because the way i look at it, these are like your BFFLS or some of your bestest friends, and they could probably be your sibling and you honestly would love it. you have the memories, and you can connect with them on a deep level and truly talk about problems and issues. literally you could tell them anything and everything (literally everything....i seriously kid you not)

Ring 2: The Cousin Ring

now here is the ring where i have a good handful of people. like cousins you see them often and you're close with them and whatnot but you not be AS close to them as your sibling (aka the previous ring). this ring is the ring where you're probably BFFS with the person, essentially you have the memories and you CAN connect with them on some deep stuff and problems, but sometimes you hold back and stuff, or sometimes they cause you headaches (don't even get me started cuz i have some people that float between this ring and the 3rd ring)

Ring 3: Parents

now this is what i also like to call the headache ring. cuz truth is, yeah you're close with your parents (or some of us are) and it can be nice, but sometimes you've been surprised how you actually haven't accidentally murdered the person (whoops...?). like parents, they can sometimes give you a headache, and i do have a couple friends in this ring because honestly they're great but when the drama begins to boil it bubbles over.

Ring 4: Grandparents/Uncles/Aunts etc.

now this is still kinda close, like you're good friends. not BEST friends but you're not "just friends" i guess. idk. but they're farther out in your circle and you don't share your secrets with them or anything.

Ring 5: The second-cousins

idk why this is a ring tbh but anyways. basically these are the people you are literally just friends with. finito la musica.

ANYWAYS

i guess i just did this because i've truly noticed who my friends are cause some friends i know i'm gonna keep and others i'm not. and truth is i'm at my breaking point with people. i mean i know some people in the past have said i have a "short tolerance" or i have "no sense of humour" but truth is, i have a pretty strong sense of armour so it'd be hard to offend when you first meet me, especially if i can tell it's a joke.

but i'm not a doormat. and the only thing i don't have tolerance is complete and utter selfishness. sorry bud.

anyways happy saturday everyone! and good luck to anyone doing exams early and if any of you are still doing summative assignments good luck on those too!

peace out peeps

xx
