HELLO!

so while march break ends *sob* and the homework that you completely forgot about piles up.... *whoops* i figured why not put out a rant?

here we go!

money.  money, money, money.  it's what's important for our world today.  we use money to buy food, clothing, transportation, houses and all sorts of other things.  and because i have all sorts of little rants about money i figured why not pile it into one big rant about the thing that seemingly matters a lot in our world....

1. #noraegretz

okay so my dad gave me a little mastercard gift card for christmas so that i could spend money on things that i wanted/needed.  there was 100 dollars on the card. and since my friend and i were gonna head to the mall on monday (since i figured hey why not go gallavanting around the mall right?) i decided to check online how much money i had left. 

in the 3 months i've used it, i've used it to get me some starbucks, two bandeaus and other miscellaneous food items.  and when i checked it....i had a mini heart attack.  turns out i had 40 dollars left on the card.  

now forty dollars is still a good chunk of money. but when i scrolled through the purchases i had made (taking 20 dollars off for my bandeaus and at least 15 for starbs) i had spent the other 25-30 something dollars on FOOD.  and then of course when i went to the mall this past monday i got a really cute shirt from hot topic....that was $30..... needless to say, my mom was not impressed.  

truth is some things are worth the splurge. but it's definitely scary when you see things add up...

2. WHY YOU SO EXPENSIVE?!?!?!1!/?!

OKAY THIS IS WHAT PISSES ME OFF THE MOST

so here in Canada, everything is already higher priced by like, a lot.  and it's annoying as hell! especially because next thing you know you get smacked with 13% tax (at least in Ontario).  

this is sorta what pissed me off when me and friend were gallavanting around the mall.  we went into victoria's secret and we were looking at some of the stuff...literally the bras are a good 50/60 dollars! like what's up with that? all i need is something to hold up my boobies like i'm not asking to get it in gold!

also like food. why is food expensive? like are you denying me from eating? like??

3. btw here's the tax

kk i needed to rant about the tax thing. like okay, that's great that there's tax, and in a way i shouldn't be complaining because 13% is less than say the 20% back in England. but the key difference is what happens at the register.  

me: *brings a dress that's $19.50 to the register*

cash: *scans it, puts it in bag*

*the total comes up*

cash: alright that'll be $22.40

me: i only have a twenty....

*ends up leaving in shame*

meanwhile across the pond....

me: *brings a dress that's $19.50 to the register*

cash: *scans it, puts it in bag*

*the total comes up*

cash: alright that'll be $19.50

me: sweet! .

*gets 50p back to put into university savings*

alright it maybe 50p won't be helpful to me in university...but honestly which would you rather have?

*sigh* well that's it for today folks!

hopefully you guys feel me on some of this stuff....
