Jade's POV.
We all stood there glaring at the screen as memories of this woman's face flooded back into my memory. I realised that I could remember everything else before the Maze, except for her. Or so I thought...
"Hello." She spoke finally, her voice colder than ice. "My name is Dr Ava Paige. If you seeing this then we know you have successfully completed The Maze trials." 'Trials'? 'Successfully completed'? What was she going on about? The more she spoke, the less I understood. It felt like her words were erasing me and more memory by the minute and the whole point of us trying to escape The Maze was so that we could remember EVERYTHING. "I wish. Could be there to congratulate you... But circumstances prevented otherwise." She started to talk about the outside world. That the sun had scorched the globe and billions of people had become infected because of what she called, 'The Flare'. The imagine of the outside world that I had inside my head was literally sugar, spice and everything nice but what Paige was putting across, well it sounded like actual hell. This made me question our decision about trying to escape. Weather it was worth loosing so many people to the greivers... Even Hannah... All just to find out that were still not safe. She carried on. "Overtime we discovered a generation that could survive The Flare and a cure began to emerge. But finding it would not be easy. The young would have to be tested in harsh environments. Even sacrificed." She said that young people had to be sacrificed, for science?! I shouldn't have, but that's when I flipped my lid. I stormed away from the screen and to the other side f the room, all eyes now on me.
"Hey! What's wrong?!" Thomas aid quietly as he ran over to me and enclosed me in a hug.
"She said young people had to be sacrificed for fucking science Thomas! For their benefit so THEY can earn more stupid money! My best friend is DEAD because of them!" I walked over to one of the dead men wearing the body armour and stopped.
Thomas' POV.
Jade stopped next to one of the men on the floor and slowly bent down picking up a gun.
"WOAH! Easy... Please, put that down..." I begged, my hands shaking madly.
"No Thomas." She said through her teeth.
"What are you going to do with it?.." I asked cautiously.
"I'm going to kill her. Kill them!" I looked around the room and gestured to some of the dead scientists on the floor. "Come on Thomas! There has to be more, and they're NOT getting away with what they've done." She tucked the gun in her belt and under her shirt.
"Guys!" Newt called us back over to the screen. "Listen."
"You can help fix this. You may not know this yet, but you are important. The outside world is a dangerous place." Ava was speaking again. In the background of the video I could see scientists being gunned down by people in heavy body armour, the same people who lay on the floor of the same room as us. One man was shooting at the window of the room that Paige was sitting in as she said these final words and held a pistol to her head. The words that will never leave me. "Remember. WICKED is good." BANG! She fired the gun and it shot straight through her temple. She was dead. I couldn't watch but the video cut off after that. I noticed a small room which looked like an office and inside was a lady lying on the floor. There was a camera on the desk and I realised that was Paige. I took a few steps towards it and some other people noticed. They followed me slowly and cautiously but as we got about half way a loud sound emitted from a corridor on the other side of the room, one we had not noticed. It sounded exactly like the noise the box made whenever it came up. A large door lifted up and the corridor grew longer, but still dark.
"Is it over?" Chuck said softly.
"She said we're important?" Newt added. "What are we supposed to do now?" Everyone exchanged looks and after a short moment of silence I spoke.
"I don't know. But let's get out of here." We all took a few steps forward into the long dark corridor. Memories of The Glade and lost friends pushed behind us... When,
"No..."

It's been SO long since I updated an actual chapter and I'm SO freaking sorry! I feel sooooo bad guys like honestly! I've been mega busy with school like revision because last week was assessment week and we had tests thrown at us and I HAD to revise & do my best because them tests actually determine my sets for my GCSE's which I start in year 10 this September... Scary! Also I was in Newcastle all weekend because it was my best mates mums wedding & I was a bridesmaid so I was also chocca last week with dress fittings because my dress needed to be altered 3 times & taken in 3 dress sizes from a 12 to a 6 & it's just been WAY too hectic! Also I know I said last night that I'd post on my Thomas Brodie-Sangster Imagines because I felt really inspired since, you know? I was in a wedding, but we were in the thingy room until 01:30 am and when everyone left I went straight to sleep because I was shattered but yeah, anyway guys I'm staying in JadeDavies129 house tonight & this little Ming is gonna help me with some ideas because I always help her 😘😘😘 love u g xx finally I just wanna say I'm SO sorry this part is so short, I'm actually in the car right now and almost back at Liverpool but I've been sitting down for 5 hours and it's killing me, also I'm coming up the the climax of the story and I don't want to put ALL of the exciting parts in one chapter so 😉 you'll need to keep reading to wait and see what happens next because it's NOT going to be similar to the book or film 😊 (okay maybe a tiny bit) thanks guys!
