Amihan paced around the cabin room of the airship. Alone. Nervous. Excited. Frustrated. Absolutely terrified. What were supposed to be thoughts about Lira were inexistent because she was feeling all those aforementioned about an encantado she met once long ago!

She kept asking herself, why?! Why was she nervous about meeting him again? Why her mind was wrapped around him? Why instead of Lira, he's the one floating in front of her mind?

A knock disturbed her pacing which she was thankful for. "Yes?"

The door opened, revealing Muros. He stood there, eyebrow raised as he took in her appearance. She smiled at him assuringly, as if it was enough to convey that everything was fine. Which was not.

"Your majesty, we have arrived. I regret to inform you that Sang'gre Pirena and Barloc went ahead of us. It seems they couldn't afford to wait a second longer. Last I saw them, they already were at the steps of the palace."

Oh. That was to be expected. If she was not pre-occupied, she should have done what they did. "Avisala eshma, Muros."

As he was about to leave, a ridiculous idea popped up in her mind. It was really bad, and un-queenly. But, she's terrified. She got no choice. She had to do this. No matter what!

"Stop!"

"Your majesty?" He looked at her unsurely. "Is... everything alright?"

Before her courage leave her, she strode towards him, eyes squarely looking back at his cautious ones, hands clasped tightly, face serious, and mouth set in a firm line.

"Muros, you have been the most loyal soldier and all my life, you were the big brother I never had, yet ever so grateful to meeting. So, I come before you as your little sister from another parents and request that you take place beside me."

He blinked. "Take my place beside you...? Isn't that what I always do?"

"Yes... I mean no. No. That's not what I meant." She buried her face onto her hands.

"You majesty... I-- Amihan... do you by any chance meant that I pretend to be, as you quote, 'someone always beside you' as in the one you are in love with?"

"Yes! That's exactly what it is!"

"Why?" He cocked his head to the side, observing her.

"Because... because..." She had a hard time explaining. She was ashamed for asking this of him. She looked to the side window, and sadly stared at the palace entrance where its doors were wide open. No doubt that it was Pirena's doing in her hurry to see her daughter.

"I see."

She rapidly stared at Muros. "What?"

"Judging on your sad stare at the palace, and the fact that Lira's father is the Sapirian Rehav..." He trailed off. They both know how that sentence would end. "I'll help you. I'll take my place by your side. But in no circumstances will I admit that we are in love. That thought is creepy enough as it is, as much as I love you like a sister."

She released a relieved sigh. "I knew I could always count on you."

On the other side, in the throne room, Ybrahim was standing stiff and sweating profously. He tried to stay calm and think of other things aside from the inevitable meeting of Lira's mother any moment now. He thought of the weather. His Lirean Queen. His parents' anniversary. His Lirean Queen. The toys he bought for Lira. His Lirean Queen. His duties and soldier training. His Lirean Queen.
