"No. No. N. O. You can't make me do this. I won't do this, Girafarig, no! Let me go!" You scream and flail in the arms of the blonde boy carrying you, trying as hard as you can to prevent him from bringing you any closer to the huge metal death trap that looms just ahead of the two of you. "Girafarig, you know I hate roller coasters! Ride it yourself, but let me go!" The only thing you get in response to your pleas is your boyfriend humming a pleasant tune whilst he parades you towards your doom.Whistling, he chucks you in the seat and slides in next to you, pinning you down as you struggle to rush out the opposite side of the cart in an attempt to flee before it's too late- but before you can fight too much he's buckled you in and the electronic arms are already closing in on the two of you. You swear that he's paid the the ride's conductor in advance because instead of stopping him and asking him to let you off, he gives the two of you a knowing smile as he presses forward on the rides operation lever.
Every click of the car on the track gives you a mini heart attack, and you whip your head towards Girafarig, determined to kill him when your stomach and head didn't feel like goo. But that animosity melts away the second you reach the top of the first hill. The ride pauses for a second and you hold your breath in fear, and when it begins to tilt downwards you immediately leap to cling onto his arm. The ride goes plummeting down the ramp and straight up into the air, and you're gripping Girafarig's arm so hard you can't believe it hasn't broken yet. The rest of the terrifying trip is filled with your absolutely horrified screams and his laughter.
You stumble off of the evil monstrosity and hobble down the off ramp and into the emptying out park, attempting to ignore and walk away from your partner. It doesn't really work though, because your knees resemble pudding and you can't exactly move in a straight line. He catches up to you, whistling that same stupid tune again and begins to gather you up, but this time you shake him off and shoot him a glare before trying to move off on your own again. "Aw, come on, ________, we had fun, didn't we? You were so cute clinging on to me like that~!"
You continue to give him the silent treatment and turn away, tears in your eyes. Sure, you'd never really spoken to him about your soul crushing fear of heights, but that still didn't mean he could just force you on without your consent. He was always so pushy, and although you usually liked it, he should have been able to see that you were upset. You stumble forward, your eyes blurred from the water leaking into and out of them, and a strong arm just barely manages to pull you up before you smack the ground. "Hey are you... are you crying? Oh my god... Um, don't cry, please please don't cry. I didn't know you'd be this upset. I won't ever make you go on again I promise, so don't cry!"
You furiously rub at your eyes and try to wipe the tears away. The force at which you brush at your face stings like crazy and you know that it'll be red and puffy for a while after this. You allow him to hold you as you shake your head. "No, no, it's okay. I know you meant no harm and all. I'm just really afraid of heights. Stupid, I know." He tenses and pulls you away, leaning down to eye level and sliding the pad of his thumb across your cheek to collect a small tear.
"No. Stop that. Don't you start. It's not stupid. No fear of yours is stupid. We're all scared of something, it wouldn't be fair to call them dumb just because its mundane. If it hurts you, then it's something I should be protecting you from. If you're scared, then it's a big deal." He nuzzles his face into your neck, a bold expression in a public area, and you feel a whole new round of tears falling down your face. "It's not stupid. You aren't stupid. You're precious to me, and I care about anything and everything about you."
"You're something else entirely, Girafarig."
"I know~"
