The cures of new beginnings (Pokehuman X reader)

Rayquaza

"Woah, Rayquaza~" You giggle and spin around taking in the beautiful scenery. "It's so pretty up here!"

Rayquaza lets out an amused chuckle at your fascinated antics. He had wanted to show you what his favorite place in the entire world was like, but since you were a human and couldn't breathe in near-outer space, the summit of one of the most gorgeous mountains in the region would have to suffice. It had it's perks too, considering he really couldn't do what he was about to do if you were in the ozone layer.

"Don't fall. I'm not catching you." He tries not to let a smile show through his composed face. He fails. You cover your chest with both of your hands and fake a wounded heart.

"Oh Rayquaza, how could you be so cruel!" Both of you begin to crack up at your failed melodrama and the stupid grin that adorns your face.

These are the moments that you treasure most. Ones where you could be who you were with the man you loved the most and no one was around to pass unjustified and naive judgement on you both.

"Hey Rayquaza." You slowly walk up to him and take his hand, his yellow eyes boring into yours in puzzlement. You can feel an unnatural amount of tension between you two that isn't normally there. "I love you. You know I love you, right?"

The Pokemon, the man who is a good two feet taller then you and a lot more dangerous then you, glares at the ground as he squeezes your hand tightly, the blood rushing to his face.

This wasn't good, he couldn't get all nervous now. His palms grow slick and his voice comes off as angry, but you know he's just embarrassed. "Of course I know that! I know that, idiot..."

He growls in frustration as a soft giggle leaves your lips at his flustered actions. With a grunt, he pulls you tight against his chest and it's your turn to be embarrassed. "R-Rayquaza?!"

"I love you a lot too, okay? I- I know that I may seem kind of wishy washy with my feelings, but when it comes to you, I'll never falter!"

And as he stares down at you in the beautiful sunset on this beautiful mountain, he knows it's now or never. "I'm... I'm not very familiar with humans still, even if it's been three years since I've changed but-!"

You can see the large man visibly shaking as his tough facade is decimated, and crimson faced, he falls to one knee.

Now it's your turn to sweat. You begin trembling as well, as your Pokemon pulls a small box out from his shirt.

"I-I may not know much about human traditions, but I know that I want to spend the rest of my life with you, and I figured that this was the best way to do it." He mutters and hot tears prick your eyes and blur your vision.

"So ________, I want to know if maybe... maybe you would consider...Doing me the biggest honor in the world and... Marrying me?"

You fall to your knees in front of him, brackish water cascading down your face. Slinging your thin arms around his shoulders, you sob out one word that puts joyful tears in his eyes as well.

"Yes!"
