You remembered the moment like it was yesterday, mostly because it was.

Pete was hanging out with his friends at the back of the school. You stood off to the side, your hands in the pockets of your black hoodie, clutching the pack of cigarettes.

Yes, you were posing. But it was the only way they would accept you.

Walking towards them, you took out a cigarette and nervously lit it, shakily setting it in your mouth. Your throat, however, disagreed with the arrangement and left you in a coughing fit.

The goths looked at you strangely. "Who's this poser?" The girl said, pointing at you.

Pete ignored you, grounding out his cigarette and whispering something to the midget.

You turned around and walked off, trying to hide your running mascara. A second later, Pete was by your side. He confessed his feelings and you two started dating.

And now here you were, walking to his house. He had called you earlier, asking if you wanted to hang out. After all, his group had left him because of you.

Smiling, he let you in. After locking the door, he gave you a small peck on the cheek, hugging you tightly.

"Y/N, you love me, right?"

"Of course." You said, burying your head into his shoulder.

Letting go, he looked at you. "And...you would never leave me, right?"

You shrugged. "Well, I don't think so..."

All of the sudden, Pete grabbed you. "No. We will be together forever."

This has gotta be a joke, you thought.

But you could tell it wasn't when Pete turned around, taking a roll of duct-tape and wrapping it around your legs, wrists and mouth as you screamed.

Then, he lifted up a couch cushion, revealing a gun. Snatching it, he gave you a terrifying smile.

"Don't worry Y/N. They'll be gone. Anyone that ever denied us. They will all be gone." With that, he ran off.

Yep. It's great to think of the memories. But the memories didn't save you. Nothing saved you from death.

Not even Pete.
