World Trigger was a very interesting watch. Its art style is symple, but gets across the idea. Even while being a basic style, the anime has a very futuristic feel to it -- most likely because of the themes displayed. There are a lot of questions I have like "what is a Border," and "what is a Trigger," and "what is the other side of the gate?" So many questions, but I feel that those will be answered over time.
Kaji Yuki's voicing the main character in glasses, Osamu. That alone is enough to make me like this anime. Osamu is a upright, moral Japanese boy who is apparently smart and a stickler for the rules. He's weak, but is somehow affliliated with the infamous Border and has a Tigger. On the other hand, Yuuma the second main character, is a carefree kid who isn't very knowledgeable of the ways of mankind. He transfered to Japan because of his father's words, and is just figuring out what he's suppossed to do.
The OP sounds very futuristic with it's robotic-like singing. t also has a sense of dystopian future which is basically what this anime is. Music is used sparringly, but all at the right moments. It's action paced music with a light undertone to match the art, and give the whole anime a bright feel.
As I said before, this anime is very interesting. I can't quite put my finger on how lovely the oddity of it is, but it was a nice watch.
Plot twist at the end!
