Woah. This episode did not let me down.
This will definitely be one of my top animes for this season if it keeps going the way it started.
We have lovely animation, very high quality. The camera angles are beautifully timed, choosing when it follows vehicles or people like the human eye, or a stand still. The characters actually look Japanese, yippee! But it still looks like anime. I can't explain it well. Let's just say the art is very good XD
The OP and ED suit the anime very well. It's been a long time since music went so well with the tones an anime was giving off. The OP invokes emotions of suspense, yearning, and fear. It's brings the thriller and mystery aspect down hard. The ED is also very surreal, but gives excites you--it's a very bloodthirsty song.
In the episode, there was a dream sequence where it actually felt like the guy was dreaming! It was vague images detailing a story (a background story), accompanied by eerie music that further accentuates the dream-like state. It was very well done.
