#1 How You Meet

"One double espresso for Mr Stark, a black coffee for Dr Banner, a cappuccino for Ms Romanoff, and one iced americano for the iced americano," you said with a grin as you handed everyone their ordered drinks. Steve rolled his eyes at you but accepted the drink.

Tony snickered amusedly. "Good one."

You had been working as Tony's personal assistant ever since Pepper became the head of Stark Industries. He told you he needed the extra help, but Pepper had told you it was because Tony couldn't function as a human being without an assistant near who made sure he got to appointments on time and reminded him to shower and have dinner when he was cooped up in his lab for hours straight.

At first, Tony had made your life a living hell because he was convinced he didn't need you, but it quickly became clear that he did in fact really needed you around. He warmed up to you and now, he rarely went anywhere without you. The only place you hadn't been allowed to join him to were Avengers meetings, but he lost a bet to Rhodey, so you could tag along for once.

"Good afternoon, everyone." Clint Barton entered the room. "Y/N, nice to see you again."

"You too, Mr Barton," you said with a smile, tapping your pen on the notepad in your hands. Tony had asked you to jot down whatever it was they were going to discuss in this meeting so he wouldn't forget.

"Kid, please call me Clint. Mr Barton makes me feel ancient," Clint said as he sat down next to Natasha.

"That's because you are, old man," Tony joked.

"You do know he's younger than you, right?" you remarked. Clint laughed loudly, holding out a hand for you to high-five. Being Tony's assistant had its perks, like personally knowing most of the Avengers, as well as each of their personal files.

"Are we ready to get started?" Natasha asked, sitting up straight as opposed to resting her feet on the edge of the conference table.

"Oh, but someone's still missing, right?" you questioned and threw a glance at your notes. "Thor?"

"No one knows if he'll come to meetings. Either he shows up or he doesn't. No point in waiting," Clint explained. You nodded slowly before turning your attention to the meeting.

About half an hour later, a loud sound was heard over your heads. It sounded like it came from the landing platform on the top of the Tower. "What was that?" you asked, somewhat nervous.

"In three, two, one..." Natasha said softly, and as if on cue, the door opened and in stepped a man dressed in silver armour with a long, red cape flowing from his shoulders. He was incredibly tall, even taller than Steve, who was already towering over you, and his blond hair rested on his shoulders as the top half was tied back. This must be Thor, you figured.

"Thor, glad you could join us," Tony spoke up first.

"Apologies for the delay. I had other business to attend to which brought me off schedule," Thor spoke. Over the months as Tony's assistant, you'd heard countless stories and watched hours of footage of the Battle of New York and other events that had included one or more members of the Avengers, but Thor's sudden appearance at the meeting threw you off guard.

"Oh, Thor, this is Y/N, my assistant," Tony spoke up, motioning to you. You felt your cheeks heat up and got up, holding out a hand to Thor.

"Nice to meet you," you said.

"The honour is all mine, Lady Y/N." He took your hand and pressed a kiss to your knuckles. You heard Tony's muffled laugh behind you, which only made you blush harder and as soon as Thor let go of your hand, you sank back down into your seat and occupied yourself by scribbling nonsense in your notepad.
