*Santa Tell Me*
Tears silently descended your cheeks as you sulked over the snow-covered sideway. You kicked a rock ahead of you and it landed in a puddle of melted snow. You sighed deeply and walked further.
Your ex had thrown you out on Christmas Eve. He said he wanted to move on. This news had hit you like a bus. The two of you had spent the previous day decorating the Christmas tree and you had made cookies together. You didn't know why he would choose such an awful timing to break up with you.
You looked up and almost bumped into an older pair. "I'm sorry," You muttered before you walked on. You noticed you had reached your hometowns center. You saw the festively lit shops and you spotted a pub in the distance.
You instantly craved a good drink to just get this night over with. You had nowhere to go and you probably had to get a hotel later tonight. You took a firm pace toward the warmth the pub had to offer you.
As soon as you pushed open the door, a warm gust of wind greeted you. You hummed in pleasure as you stepped inside. A cheerful bell sounded and the bartender looked up. It was quite empty in the pub, only a few men and women were inside. "Good evening, miss." The bartender chimed. "Good evening." You smiled.
You put your coat on the coat rack and sat down on a stool. "What can I get you on this beautiful evening?" The bartender approached you. "Can I get a red wine, please?" You asked politely and the man nodded before he walked away to get you your drink.
You heard the door of the pub opening and you turned around to see who it was. It was a man who was probably in his thirties, he had grown a beard and was dressed in a thick winter coat with a grey scarf around his neck. To say he was handsome was an understatement.
You turned back to the bar, where the bartender had placed your wine in front of you. You lifted the glass and said softly to yourself, "Cheers to a lonely, heartbroken Christmas Eve," before taking a large sip.
"Is this seat taken?" A voice behind you asked. You turned around and was faced with the man who earlier had entered the pub. "No, not at all. Please, sit." You smiled, a faint blush creeping up on your cheeks. He smiled before sitting down. He ordered an Irish Coffee from the bartender.
"So, what's your story?" He asked. You sent him a questioningly. "Why would there be a story?" You asked. "No one should be alone in a pub on Christmas Eve." He chuckled. "Well, it probably sounds really pathetic but my boyfr-ex threw me out." You sighed, averting your eyes to the crimson liquid in your glass.
"He didn't!" The man gasped. "Yeah, he kinda did." You huffed sadly, feeling a lump form in your throat. You shook away the sad thought and turned to look at him.
"What about you?" "My family lives far away, I'm here for work and can't leave. My colleagues all have families with whom they're spending Christmas and then there's me." He sighed. You felt instantly bad for him.
"Well, I don't know if it's much of a comfort but I'm alone too, we could spend this evening together?" You suggested. A smile tugged at the corners of his lips. "I would like that."

"All I want for Christmas is you!" You sang along loudly into the microphone. You may have had a few too many drinks but you didn't care, you weren't drunk on your own. Chris, the man you had been talking to for the last three hours, was too.
The audience cheered loudly as you descended the stage. Most of them were also drunk. "That was amazing!" Chris said with a broad smile as he approached you.
"Thank you," You said and plopped down on the couch by the fireplace, where a warm fire was burning brightly.
Chris sat down next to you and you fell into his side. He wrapped an arm around you. "You can stay with me tonight if you'd like?" He suggested.
"Really?" You frowned.
"Yeah, why not? You don't have a place to stay and I'm alone." He shrugged.
"That'd be great, thank you, Chris," You smiled and snuggled into his side. You started to sober up already.
The two of you stared deeply into the fire and thought about your lives before this night.
You had been all alone after your boyfriend threw you out. Your family was in Canada and you didn't want to come because you thought you would be spending the holidays with the love of your life.
Chris had been working on his newest movie for the last few weeks and his castmates all had families to spend Christmas with. His family was on the other side of the country and since he started filming again on Boxing Day, he couldn't go home.
"Let's get out of here." He jumped to his feet and held out his hand to help you up too. You started your journey to his hotel, warmly dressed in your winter coats. Chris had lent you his scarf and half of your face disappeared into it.
As you walked over the sideway, he reached out for your hand and you gladly intertwined your fingers with his.
Normally, you wouldn't have gotten so close to someone else after you had just been dumped. But when you were with Chris, things felt right. It felt like you could be yourself around him without having to be embarrassed or scared for who you were, something you had done often with your ex.
By the time you were done thinking, you had reached Chris's hotel. He greeted the woman at the reception and took you upstairs. He had quite a big room. A couch was placed by the fireplace with a TV in front of it.
"Here," You heard and as you turned around, a thick sweater was thrown into your face. You quickly put it over your own and almost drowned in the fabric because of it being too large for your body.
"I can order hot chocolate if you want?" Chris spoke up, scrolling through his phone.
"No, I'm fine, thanks," You smiled.
"You sure? They come with marshmallows," He temptingly said.
"Oh, now you have persuaded me," You giggled. He chuckled before dialing room service.

You sat on the couch together, sipping on your hot chocolate and munching on the marshmallows. "This was the best way possible to spend my Christmas eve." You nodded to yourself.
"Mine too," Chris smiled. He stared deeply into your eyes and you got lost in his crystal blue orbs. He leaned in and you didn't hesitate to do the same.

"Y/N, wake up," A soft, raspy voice said next to your head. Your eyelids pulled apart and sat up. You had to look around the room for a few seconds before realizing where you were. You were in Chris Evans's hotel room.
You looked over to your right and was met with the handsome man you had spent your Christmas Eve with. You gasped as you saw him. He had a small, rectangular box in his hands. "You're not telling me you got the woman you met last night a Christmas gift." You couldn't help but smile at his gesture.
"I felt so bad for her that her boyfriend broke up with her on Christmas Eve and I couldn't help but want to cheer her up, so I got up very early this morning to get her a little something," He smiled like a child before pushing the box in your hands.
You smiled to yourself as you removed the festive Christmas wrapping and you were faced with a beautiful necklace. "Oh, Chris, you shouldn't have." You gasped.
"But I wanted to," He smiled. You giggled and gave him a tight hug.
"Thank you so much," You whispered and pressed a kiss to his cheek.
