I'm not good at remembering faces, but somehow I remembered yours. Maybe it was the curve of your lips, or the light (y/h/c) hair that framed your face. Whatever it was I remembered you nonetheless.

The first time I saw you, you were frantically jumping up and down. Waving your hands as high as they could reach desperate to get my attention. You weren't the first and you certainly wouldn't be the last.

The second time I saw you we were in a completely different scene. My friends and I happened to turn the corner and run smack into you. We all apologized profusely and you waved it off as if it was nothing. I could see in your eyes that you knew who we were, yet you said nothing.

The third and last time I saw you happened to be shortly after our run in. We entered a small cafe and I turned my head to look for a seat when I spotted you, nestled in the corner with your laptop close at hand. In that moment I wondered why you never said anything earlier. I found myself standing next you. Slowly your eyes met mine and I was graced with a beautiful smile. "Can I help you?" You said politely.

"I...You know me? Why didn't you talk before. I know you knew." I struggled to figure out the right words but somehow managed to convey my message.

You gave a small laugh before answering. "I wasn't about to bother you during your time off. You're a human being too."

I smiled at your words, it was refreshing to have someone understand our situation. "Oh. Thank you." I bowed and walked back to my friends, who now were shooting me puzzled looks.

Unfortunately for me, there is a great chance I will never see you again. But I will remember your smile, I will remember your kindness, and I will always remember you.
