----------------------------------------------------

Ailen's P.O.V.

The story i'm about to tell you, might seem like it is only a tale. But believe me or not, it is all true

It all started in really dark forest, many years ago, when a beautiful elf woman had been wondering around. Her (e/c) eyes exploring her surroundings and her shining (h/c), (h/l) hair flowing from side to side as she looked around. She was desperately trying to find a place to stay, for had she been ejected from the great kingdom of elves, Mirkwood.

She hadn't really committed any crime, other than fell in love with the wrong person. Who would get ejected for falling in love? Well the person she fell for, was her sister's husband, and the king of Mirkwood. For a long time she had been suppressing her feelings, trying to hide them, for her sister's and the king's sake after her sister had died. Still, as the time went on and her feeling's grew, she couldn't keep them in anymore.

She had walked up to the king and told him her feelings, without getting answer she bowed her head and turned around ready to leave, but she heard the king muttering something. She turned back to face him, and asked him to repeat himself. The words she heard surprised her, and slightly even terrified her. Thranduil had looked at her like she was the most disgusting of all creatures and told her to leave Mirkwood, for if she did not, she would face her death.

For a little while, she could only stand there under the king's cold gaze, unable to move. But she didn't flinch of fear or hurt under the king, all she did was bow her head and head to her chambers. She packed her things and left the beautiful Mirkwood. She walked till she got to the borders of Mirkwood's forest, and as she stepped over the border, she collapsed to the ground. Her legs couldn't hold her up anymore, as Thranduil's words sunk in. Tears rolled down her cheeks, but she didn't let out any sound.

Taking deep breath she looked up at the sky and smiled. She got up and took her bag and started walking again. She looked around for some cave, where she could spend the night. As she walked, her eyes spotted this old cottage. Walking over to it, she noticed that the door was slightly open, and so she stepped in.

What she found from there, she did not predict. Her eyes landed on a trail of blood, and as she followed it to a room that had once been someones bedroom, she found an pale orc, lying there on the floor, holding it's side. She looked at him for little while, unsure as if she should leave or help him, but when she heard his grunt, she made up her mind. She knew that this was the most stupid thing she had ever done, but to her it seemed like she had nothing to lose.

She walked over to him, and bend down next to him before taking hold of his body and raising him to the old bed. She covered him with a blanket and left to look for some food. As she exited the room, the pale orc opened it's eyes slightly, unable to hold them open for long. He sighed and closed them again, getting only a glimpse of the beautiful creature. When he opened his again, he was met with warm light of a candle and the smell of something he had never before smelled. He looked around the room and it looked a lot different than before.

The room had been cleaned and the small table next to the bed had flower vase on it. "What the fu-" "Oh good, you are awake, i will bring you some soup!" He looked at the elf, who was out of the room as quickly as she had entered, for little while shocked that one was talking to him and not scared of him. He tried to get up from the bed, but as soon as he moved little, he felt this stabbing pain in his guts, he grunted and fell back to the bed. "I wouldn't get up if i were you. That wound of yours is pretty deep."

She looked at him from the door, before walking over to him with bowl of soup in her hands. "It's hot so be careful." She handed the bowl to the orc, only to be met with gaze that simply said 'What is this?' She started laughing and took spoon from the bowl, and reached it over towards the orc's mouth. "Taste it, it's good. There is meat in it." The orc looked at the spoon bit suspiciously, before taking it into his mouth.

First he was very much against the thought of eating meat that wasn't raw, but as soon as he tasted the soup, he couldn't stop eating it. The elf just sat there and looked at him as he ate. For some reason she couldn't quiet fear him. Actually you could say that she felt herself drawn to him, there was just something about him that she couldn't quiet explain.

The orc on the other hand was so surprised by her courage, that he couldn't really bring himself to act like he normally did. If he had been the one to find the girl, and not other way around, she would most likely be dead and he knew that this elf had known that very well too. Still she had helped him, despite the fact that she could have died doing so. "What's your name?" She asked her (e/c) eyes shining with interest. "Azog, and who might you be?" His gruff voice spoke softer than what he had gotten used to, but for some reason he feared he might scare her away if he spoke too loudly. "(Y/n)."

Days, weeks and even months passed, as Azog and (Y/n) grew closer to each other. They started opening up to each other, talking about anything that came to their minds. And before they knew it they found themselves falling for each other. An very unlikely pair, and orc and an elf. But they didn't really care, though Azog was scared. Not really for himself, but for (Y/n). He didn't care if the other orcs didn't trust him to be their leader anymore, but (Y/n)'s safety worried him. He couldn't and didn't even want to think of his life without her anymore. But he couldn't really bring her with him either.

They were both sitting on a bench, outside the small house, when Azog gathered all his courage to talk to her. "(Y/n), what would you think of staying here... and hiding? I could protect you and... keep us safe." (Y/n) raised her gaze so that she could see into his eyes. She loved it how they weren't cold like they used to, but warm and loving as he looked at her. She moved her hand and landed it on his cheek. "My love, i do not wish to be hiding. I want to be by your side, in the world where you live. Even if it means i need to prove myself to your people." She leaned in and kissed his lips softly.

These past months had been full of surprises for Azog, and still (Y/n) could surprise him all over again. He smiled slightly, and took hold of her tiny hand, while she rested it on his cheek. He moved it to his lips and kissed it softly before nodding. "So be it my love, but i promise you, i will slaughter anyone who even thinks of hurting you, my flower." Smiling, she nodded and leaned her head to his shoulder. (Y/n)'s warm words and kind acts had warmed a heart that Azog didn't even know existed, but he was grateful for it. Still the things that were going to happen in their future, scared him more than anything. Luckily he wasn't going to have to face them alone.
