Third Person P.O.V.

You were running in forest with little girl in your arms, breathing heavy and with difficulties. "It's alright love, it's okay." You tried to hush the tiny, crying form in your arms as you pressed her head against your shoulder gently. You glanced around yourself frantically, as you tried to find place to hide into. Noticing this one cave, you turned towards it an ran as fast as you could, still hearing the heavy foot steps running behind you and the little girl.

When you got into the cave, you looked around, trying to find place where to hide. When you spotted small hole at the back of the cave you rushed to it. It was just small enough for you and the girl to fit in. You went down and crawled into the hole, before sitting the girl on your lap and wrapping your arms around her protectively. Hearing her sniffles, you caressed her head, playing little with her hair as you tried to calm her down. "Shhh, darling it will be alright."

The girl raised her (e/c) eyes to look at your face, while your own scanned the cave entrance. Snow was falling slowly down, making everything seem so peaceful for little while. "Mommy? Where is papa?" You froze for little while, before turning to look into your daughters eyes. "He'll be here soon. He won't leave us in danger." (Y/d/n) Smiled slightly, before her smile disappeared and her eyes showed pure terror. Before you could ask what was wrong, you were ripped out from the hole. "Hahah, finally we found you!" The same orc pack that you and (Y/d/n) had been running from.

You two had been outside in the forest, playing in the snow, while you waited for Legolas to come home from hunt. Since you and your 4 years old daughter had both missed Legolas so much, you decided to go for little walk. Apparently some of the orcs had been able to dodge the elves and got too near Mirkwood. You and (Y/d/n) had just been making little snowman when suddenly, you had heard some heavy steps, something that didn't belong to an elf and turned to look who it was, when you noticed it was small orc pack.

You had just scooped your daughter to your arms and started running. Of course now thinking that you were elf, you should have been able to defend yourself, but when (Y/d/n) was born, your body had become really weak and Legolas had banned you from fighting. Of course you had obeyed and left all the fighting and weapons, knowing that one wrong move or too much stress could be your end. So running seemed the best possible option at that time.

Right now that you were being dragged out of the cave, into the cold and snowy weather, you knew there wasn't much for you to do. Still you kept trying to get away, only to be pulled back down by your hair or being punched by someone. Suddenly you felt sharp pain in your chest and when you looked down, you saw an really sharp sword poking out of you, little above your stomach. Slowly, they pulled it out, laughing as they looked you falling to the ground. "Hehe, that bitch got what she deserv-ugh!" And arrow flew through the orcs head and it dropped dead to the ground next to you.

Smile spread to your face as you looked at the arrow, you could recognize those anywhere. You felt your body getting colder and you couldn't really hear anything anymore, blood starting to raise to your mouth. One by one the orcs fell to the ground, lifeless. Suddenly someone rushed over to you, shaking you lightly as he tried to say something to you, only that you couldn't understand what it was anymore. "(Y/N)!!! WAKE UP!" It was Legolas, he was shaking you, trying to get you to respond. Tears streamed down his face as he looked at you. He raised your upper body with his arms and hugged your till form, crying and rocking softly back and forth. "Please don't leave me."

When Legolas looked at your face one more time, he noticed that your eyes had gone lifeless. Tears streaming down his face, he closed your eyelids carefully and put you to the ground softly. Then he heard soft cries from inside the cave and his eyes widened. "(Y/d/n)!!!" He ran to the cave and followed the tiny whimpers. Walking to the back of the cave he found his daughter form a small hole, unharmed but shaking and scared. Kneeling down he reached his arms towards the little girl, smiling little sadly to her. "D-daddy?" He nodded and the girl jumped to his arms. "Daddy's here sweetheart, it's okay now." Legolas closed his eyes, only to be met by the image of your dead body.

Suddenly Legolas's eyes shot open, his breathing quick and shallow. He felt how his skin was dank by sweat and his heartbeat was really quick. He looked at the ceiling, eyes wide for little while, before he realized that he was in your shared bedroom. He closed his eyes, and turned towards you, about to wrap his arm around you, but the space next to him was empty. Once again his eyes shot open, only to see that you really weren't next to him.

He shot up from the bed, but relaxed almost right away, when he saw you standing by a cradle. You were holding your almost a year old daughter in your arms and humming softly. Smiling lightly Legolas got up from the bed and walked over to you, wrapping his arms around your waist and kissing your neck softly. "Thank god you're alright." He whispered to your year and hid his face to your neck, taking in your familiar scent. You knew right away that he had had a nightmare, since always when he had one, he would get as close to you as possible and just be there, making sure you were alright. "Yes love, i'm alright, (Y/d/n) is alright, you're alright."

Gently putting your now sleeping daughter back to her cradle, before turning around in your husband's arms and wrapping yours around him, hugging him tight. "I lost you, (Y/n)... You know i don't ever want to loose you." You nodded softly, taking hold of his head and kissing his forehead lovingly. "It's okay, I'm here. You didn't loose me and you're not going to. I will always be here for you."

Legolas looked softly into your (e/c) eyes and leaned down, kissing your lips sweetly, still trying to make sure you were real. You kissed him back without thought and soothed his hair. "It was just a dream."
