197. Pirates: Write about a pirate ship.
She glared at her boyfriend, who at all other times she found adorable. But right now? Right now he was the enemy, and if she had to shoot canons at his ship to destroy it, she would. No mercy. This was serious.
She narrowed her eyes and said through clenched teeth, "Elizabeth and Will."
He rolled his eyes. "Elizabeth and Jack."
"Will."
"Jack."
"Will!"
"Donkey!" he exclaimed.
"They get married. They have a kid together. It's in the movie!" she said, exasperated. He wasn't nearly as serious about this as he should be. Did he not understand that they were engaged in a high tension ship war right now? This kind of thing broke Tumblrs apart. It destroyed fandom unity. But yet there he stood, his face mere inches from her, with a smile climbing onto his mouth and already settling cheerfully in his eyes.
My, but he was adorable.
No, she told herself firmly. This was not the time for giving him googly eyes. Right now he was questioning her OTP and that sort of thing wasn't acceptable in a healthy relationship. He needed to know right now who he was dealing with: a fangirl.
"Okay, but in the ten years between when Will gets to see Elizabeth, what does she do?" he asked in a reasonably voice, even though he was clearly barking mad.
"She raises her kid!" she exclaimed.
"Or does she?" he asked, with a wiggle of his eyebrows.
"You just ship them because you like Johnny Depp," she accused.
"And that's a bad?"
"It's a serious problem, yes!"
He swaggered back and said in his best imitation of Captain Jack Sparrow, "The problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude about the problem."
It was an A+ instance to use that quote, she grudgingly admitted. She didn't bother to tell him so because he already looked sufficiently pleased with himself. "That's not how shipping works," she said, with a roll of her eyes. Man, she had a lot of work in turning him into a fully functioning fanboy who she could unleash upon the internet with no worries.
"Then explain," he sad, with another suggestive eyebrow wiggle.
Asdfghjkl, he's so cute, she irresistibly thought.
"Shipping is when you really really want two characters to be together, even if the circumstances are against them. It involves a lot of unnecessary feels, binge reading fanfiction, and attempting to draw fanart."
He nodded thoughtfully. "And OTP?" he asked. She has tossed that term out when referring to the pairing of Elizabeth and Will earlier. "What does that mean?"
"One true pairing," she interpreted. "Basically, that's your couple. It's your ultimate ship. The couple you support the most and is like the feels of your soul."
A slow grin spread over his face. He stepped closer and said in a whisper, "We are my OTP."

A/N: I tried several different versions of a pirate story and they just weren't working out, so I tried a different route. 😂
