GO DOWN TO THE NEXT LINE OF CAPS LOCK TO SKIP THE SUMMARY!
Okay, so I completely loved this book. I mean, it's full of action, romance, some humor, and just a whole lot of badassery. And it was so well written. Told from the points of view of Day, who's a fifteen(?) year old criminal mastermind, and June, a fifteen(?) year old government agent type of thing. It's a dystopian book, set in California after the American Civil War II, where the nation is split into the Republic in the western US, and the Colonies in the East. Basically, in the Republic, all children have to take a test when they turn ten to determine their levels of intelligence, agility, and all around usefulness to the government. Those who pass are granted jobs and further education. Those who don't are sent to labor camps. So June is this crazy prodigy who got a perfect score, and she's graduating from college at age fifteen(?).
Honestly, I don't remember how old she and Day are. So I'm just gonna say fifteen.
Anyway. The story starts, and we learn that Day has a little friend, Tess; and June has an older brother, Metias, who's an army commander general captain thing. And Metias has this friend, Thomas, who's kind of Metias's shadow/student thing.
As you can see, I'm really good at describing people.
Well, Day breaks into a hospital to steal a cure for the mysterious plague that has struck his little brother, Eden. A big kerfuffle ensues, and Day barely escapes with his life.
The next morning, June finds out that her brother had been killed during the hospital fiasco, and that Day is the number one suspect.
And so begins the tale of the two.
Okay. So that was the summary. My crappy summary for this amazing book.
Oh, and this is the first book of a series, and I think the second is out. I haven't read the second book yet, but if I do, I'll edit this summary to be about the whole series. I might not read the second book, though. I've got other stuff to read.

Okay. Now that that's over with . . .
John freaking died!!! I mean, what the hell, man? Not cool! You freaking brave, selfless person. Go die in a hole. Oh wait, you can't. BECAUSE YOU'RE ALREADY DEAD!
*Huff* Well then. Sorry 'bout that. Had to get it out.
But when Thomas shot Day's mom? I seriously, like, gasped at that part. It's just like, Why was that necessary? Freaking Thomas. I never liked you. YOU should go and die in a hole. You freaking jerk. I hate you.
I loved Metias! Oh my God, he was so sweet to June. I wish my older brother was like that. *grumbly face* What do you think he would have done about Day and June's relationship?
THOMAS FREAKING KISSED JUNE!!! I knew it was gonna happen, but I really hated him for that. I mean, more than I hated him already.
I was gonna say something here, but I forgot....
I'm just gonna stop writing now. I loved this book. It was amazing. Now go away.
