Yet another series by Cassandra Clare. The Infernal Devices is a prequel trilogy of the Mortal Instruments. I've just finished the last book, and I think I'm in love. It's sort of the same as the Mortal Instruments, with Shadowhunters, demons, and the like, but it takes place in Victorian England and follows the story of Tessa Gray, Jem Carstairs, Will Herondale, and others. You'll recognize several of the names from Mortal Instruments: Herondale, Lightwood, Camille Belcourte, Magnus Bane (hehe, Magnus is my favorite) and even Church the friggin' cat. I seriously had a breakdown when he appeared in the series. And Magnus... I smiled every time he was mentioned. And Will is so freaking hilarious. He and Jace are so alike. And Jem is just so sweet I just wanna give him a hug.

Is that weird? Sorry.

SPOILERS!

I cried when I read the epilogue of Clockwork Princess. I seriously did. In fact, I'd started reading it at school, but then had to stop because I already felt like I was going to cry. So I had to wait until I was alone, after dinner, in the privacy of my locked room before I could have my little cry fest.

WHY, WILL? WHY DID YOU HAVE TO FRIGGIN DIE?

Also, Nate and Jessamine really started to piss me off in the second book.

CHURCH THE FRIGGIN CAT!!!!! Who's with me?

I swear to God, if Magnus dies in City of Heavenly Fire, I will find Cassandra Clare and I will slap her repeatedly with a wet noodle. Magnus is my favorite, goddammit.
