So, at first I was really skeptical about this book because it was written by Stephenie Meyer, and I'm not the biggest fan of her Twilight series. Eventually, though, I swallowed my pride and broke down and read this book, and I haven't regretted it for a second. It was really, really good. Not at all like Twilight (yes, I admit, I read the series when I was younger. I never liked them much, though). The Host was so good, and so full of action and romance and science fiction and stuff like that. It was really well-written, too, except that some scenes tended to go on longer than necessary. Throughout the whole thing, I was captivated. It's definitely one I'd read again.
The movie was also really good, by the way. Max Irons is pretty damn attractive.
