•your pov•

We were outside the walls, but we were retreating. The mission was aborted and we had lost more than half of the soldiers to the large amount of aberrant titans. I would be dead, if it wasn't for my fast reflexes. But, instead of dying, I lost a leg and half my body was bloody from a huge gash going vertical on my side. I dealt with it though. I've been through worse.

We reached the gates and we the citizens we "love so much" criticized us like they always do.

"We pay for them to keep us safe, yet they can't do anything," said one woman. I was about to say something, when I heard a little boy shout,

"That's not true! They do more than we do! They're the reason we're still alive. You should be thanking them!" I looked around for the boy to see he was at the front of the crowd. I stopped my horse and got off. I kneeled a bit in front of him. His grey eyes sparkled and his black hair was being blown around by the wind. He kinda looked like Levi.

"I'm guessing you want to be in the Survey Corps?" The boy nodded his head vigorously. I smiled at him and stood straight again.

"You would be a good soldier, but until then, you should stay with your family. Most of us didn't get that chance. " He nodded again and ran off. Everyone around us was silent and I glared at the woman who made that comment, she stumbled back a bit but regained her posture, turning around and running away.

We kept going towards the base ((I actually don't know if it's called base or headquarters. I didn't pay attention to that.)). My leg was bleeding a lot and so was the cut, I would probably pass out in the next five minutes. When we got back, I put my horse, (horse name), back in the stables and walked back to my office.

I'm a squad leader and the same rank as Levi, corporal. As I was walking/limping/hopping back to my office, the blood loss finally got to me, and I had to use the wall as support. I fell to my knees, holding my side. I saw a tall figure walk up to me, but I blacked out before I could see anything else.

•Erwin's pov•

'Levi is definitely related to (y/n). They both refuse to tell anyone their hurt.'

I sighed and put her limp arm over my shoulder and I grabbed her waist. I put her on a bed at the infirmary after I had wrapped her injuries. I sat down next to the bed right as Levi walked in.

"She's fine, " I said. I already knew what he wanted. He sighed heavily and stood at the front of the bed, staring at (y/n).

"If you want something say it. Staring is rude, little brother. " Levi's eyes widened a bit but they went back to their emptiness. She sat up and stared back at Levi. He looked to the side.

"I was just checking on you.." he mumbled. She laughed.

"I'm fine. No need to worry. "I don't understand how you could be injured like that and still smile.

I crawled to the end of the bed and hooked my arm around Levi's neck, bringing him down to my level and catching him off guard.

"It's nice to know you still have feelings. " I said, pulling him closer to me and smiling even bigger. He tched and I flicked his nose. I let go of his neck and he stood up straight again. Before he left, he glared at Erwin and walked out without another word. I sighed and flipped my both of my legs over the edge of the bed.
