Flower Crowns - Reiner x Reader

I think I'm finally starting to warm up to Reiner? I still can't get passed the fact he was the armored titan though.. That hit me like a shit ton of bricks

"Come on Reiner!" (Y/n) yelled as she dragged the small blonde boy along with her. He hardly kept up with her, but never tripped. He had no idea where they were going, he just knew they were in the forest. He stared at how her (h/l) (h/c) hair bounced from side to side as she ran and how her (e/c) eyes shone in the sun everytime she looked back at him. But he kept mentally hitting himself for this, she was his best friend besides Bertolt or Annie, plus these feelings were probably unrequited.

"Sit down." He hadn't even noticed they stood in a very small clearing with wild flowers growing every where. Well, (y/n) sat, Reiner stood, but. It for long. (Y/n) immediately got to work on a blue flower crown. Reiner watched as her tiny (s/c) fingers worked relentlessly at looping the flowers together. She put it one his head and realized he was zoning out again. This wasn't the only time this has happened. Reiner staring at (y/n)'s face, getting lost in his thoughts. The (h/c) haired girl had figured out how to get him out of it. She kissed his cheek and he flushed, slowly coming back to reality.

"(Y-y/n)." he stuttered trying to find his words. This just made the small girl laugh as she continued to make flower crowns.

"I'll bring one for Annie and Bertolt. They love these, especially Annie. " She smiled brightly at Reiner and his blush darkened.

"Can you teach me how to make one? I wanna help.." the girl smiled even bigger, her shoulders rising.

"Yes." she handed a pile of flowers to him and started instructing.

But that was 10 years ago. We were walking in the forest at night, just around the edge of it. Well, we had stopped because Reiner stopped.

"Reiner come on." I snapped my fingers in his face as he stared at me. He was zoned out again. I still know how to get him out of his daze. I stood on my tip toes and kissed him on the lip. He started to kiss back immediately.

"I knew you would do that." He smirked at me and I returned it.

"Of course you did, I've done it for years. You just zone out for me to kiss you. You can just ask."

"Can I kiss you?" He sounded like a child. Why am I not surprised?

"Hmmm, maybe. But you have to carry me on your shoulders first. I don't like being shorter than you all the time." he picked me up and put me on his shoulders.

"Now can I kiss you?"

"No. ONWARDS MY BLONDE STALLION!" I pointed forward and Reiner sighed, but started walking.

"Now can I kiss you?" He looked back up at me. I started to realize he had stopped and was zoned out again, so why not? I leaned down and kissed him again, but pulled away before he could respond.

"(Y/n)." he pouted and it just made me smile.

"I kissed you now keep going. I wonder if there is a flower patch like there was in our town, " I said enthusiastically. Reiner again sighed and kept walking. We talked about everything. Favorite foods (even though we've memorized each other's), goals we had, and many other things.

In the end, we never found a flower field (much to my dismay), but we found a smaller clearing where you could see the moon perfectly. It had a small patch of wild flowers, of which I made flower crowns from. A blue one for Reiner and a (f/c) one. I sat next to Reiner, our fingers intertwined and my head on his shoulder with his arm around my waist. It was moments like this I wish I could freeze time. I felt the same familiar stare almost burning through my head and I didn't need to look to see.

"Do you only like me because you get to stare at my face?" I said in a not-so-easily-picked-up teasing tone. Reiner thought I was serious and his fingers tightened around mine.

"I love you for that and everything else. Your (h/l) (h/c) hair is beautiful when it bounces, like when you would run through the forest with me. Your (e/c) eyes sparkle in the sun and moon light as they are now. Your (s/c) skin is soft and touching it is one of my favorite things. Your laugh is cute and I like the way you don't hold back on it. I could go on, but in short, I love you. " He had never said that to me. It was unexpected and it brought a smile to my face.

"I love you too." I looked up at him and no matter how many times I have seen it, that smirk always made my stomach churn not knowing what he was going to do next. But right now, we both were on a one track mind set on kissing each other again.
