Morning Sickness - MikasaxReader

YOUR POV

After a while, Mikasa fell asleep in my lap. Now, I'm carrying her on my back towards the dorms. I could feel her soft breath just behind my ear. It sent little shivers down my spine, as well as a smile on my lips.

I sat her down on her bunk as quiet as I could as to not wake her up or any of the others. Most of the other girls were heavy sleepers (*cough cough* all of them *cough cough*), so it was easier for me to sneak back out into the woods.

I hated being around other people, with a few exceptions. They've never really been nice to me because of my eye, which I wasn't naturally born with. My father was experimenting on me and injected my irises (the colored part of your eye) with black and white and they mixed together. They aren't cleanly mixed either. It looks like someone threw up a monochrome rainbow in my eye and tried to clean it up but just made it worse.

I found a tree that I specifically liked. I knew what tree it was because I marked it with the kanji symbol for sleep. I climbed the tree and at the top was a small makeshift platform of smoothed out branches tied together with stolen rope that Levi has been looking for so he can tie Eren to a bedpost. No matter how fun that would be to see the reaction of everyone because of the soumds, I'm not giving him the rope. I'll buy him more.

I laid down on the smoothed over wood and let out a sigh. I honestly don't like the idea of Mikasa staying here while she's in her state. Sooner or later, she's going to start getting morning sick.. I'll ask Erwin if we can move to Wall Sina temporarily and serve for the Military Brigade.

I sighed once more, it being carried away by the wind along as catching my hair and waving it around. I closed my eyes, and drifted off into a light sleep, not to be disturbed by anything.

TIMESKIP

I only got a few hours of sleep last night, 5 to be exact. I sat in a tree not too far from the girls' dorm. I could see in through the window Mikasa was still asleep. It was only 3:00 in the morning, she or any one else shouldn't be awake.

I played with a piece of my (h/l) (h/c) hair as the time passed. I don't know how long I was up in the tree, but it was long enough that everyone was now getting dressed. They walked out the dorms to the cafeteria to eat. As soon as everyone was gone, I went in and changed into my uniform along with my hoodie. I guess I have to go to go to training to keep an eye on Mikasa so she doesn't do anything reckless.

Walking into the cafeteria as well, everyone got a little quiet. Shows you how much I'm here. I sat down at one of the few empty tables, not getting any food. I felt everyone's eyes, including the squad leaders, on me. This made me feel a little insecure and I unnoticeably fidgeted in my seat.

THIRD PERSON

'Is that (y/n)?'

'Why does she wear that hoodie?'

'Where does she go?'

'She disobeys everyone. Including the captains.'

'When will she get punished? Heichou only punishes me and my butt hurts.'

Everyone's thoughts were all over the place. No one really knew (y/n) that well. Not even captains, who never got to see much of her either. She was on the special operations squad with Levi, because of her ease of the blades on 3DMG, but she was only there for the expeditions and occasionally the trainings.

Some of the people were intimidated by her. Her empty eyes that had lost their gleam a while ago, her small looking, but strong limbs and body, and her fearlessness to go against anything. Others wanted to be friends with her, they were too scared to approach her, for the fear she might hurt their oh so precious feelings. She did it once, to Jean. He tried flirting with her and she said how his ambitions to be in the Military Police were futile, insulting his will and the way he acted.

As they were staring, Levi finally got up and walked over. Not only was he frustrated because she never shows up, but she half asses it in training and he was going to teach her who was in charge.

"Where did you go after training?"

"Somewhere over the rainbow." she crossed her arms, staring into his steel grey eyes. Mikasa started to worry. Levi wouldn't hesitate to throw her across the room for her attitude, and that was a thought that almost made Mikasa want to puke, or was that morning sickness?

"Tch. Don't act smart. You'll stay in the dungeon with Eren from now on so I can keep an eye on you. " He returned that same attitude.

"Like I'll actually go." She stood up, walking out of the cafeteria and onto the fields. Mikasa excused herself from her friends and left after (y/n).

"(Y/n)!" The (h/c) haired girl turned around and stopped, staring back at Mikasa.

"What?"

"You left so sudden..."

"I'm fine. You should go back inside, before you get too hot. " Mikasa reluctantly nodded and pivoted on her heel towards the cafeteria. (Y/n) watched her walk, until Mikasa fell and threw up. (Y/n) ran up to her, kneeling down beside her.

"Are you okay?" (Y/n) lightly rubbed her back as Mikasa was still hunched over, throwing up what was left of her breakfast.

"Just fine. Throwing up the contents of your stomach and the acid is fun. " She retched again.

"This'll only last a few weeks, or months. After that, you'll just have weird food cravings. But, it's all worth it. " (Y/n) smiled down at her, Mikasa returned it happily.

She knew (y/n) was right. They would have a child and might spend their lives together, at such a young age. It made her happy, knowing the only person she'll love like this would be by her side as they raised a child. (Y/n) even had a little surprise of her own, but that was going to wait until they were in Wall
Sina.

"I'll tell Erwin you're sick and can't practice. " (Y/n) stood Mikasa up and walked her to the dorms , where she laid her down. She fell asleep immediately and (y/n) walked to Erwin's office.
