YOUR POV

"Krista, wake up." She had been asleep for the past 9 hours. I didn't think she was that tired and I honestly don't know how to wake her up. We just went through a titan infested Wall Maria, killing basically every single on of the titans while Eren was carrying a rock. It was shocking, I guess most everyone would be tired.

"Not until you go to the infirmary.." Now I'm sure she's awake.

"You aren't getting out of training because you're sleeping. I either get you up, or Levi does it. " She sat up straight at the name Levi, no trace of sleep on her face.

"Okay okay. " I mentally cheered. I know how to wake her up. We both walked out into the bright sunlight and saw the rest of the cadets walking from the cafeteria. Krista had a look of dejection from not being able to eat. It's her fault for not waking up.

"You can go eat, I'll just say I forgot to wake you up. " She was about to protest, but stopped herself and walked towards the cafeteria. I went towards the fields and was promptly asked why I was late by Levi.

"I slept too late. " He glared at me and I guess he was fighting the urge to hit me, but why?

"Uh, sir. If you don't mind me saying, but your face is red." Levi just clicked his tongue and turned his head away from me.

"Where is Krista?"

"Eating. " He raised an eyebrow at me, but his silent question was answered when the short blonde ran up to us.

"Sumimasen!" She saluted and he waved it away.

"Don't do it again." With that he turned around and left.

"I know you didn't run the whole way here. Why are you so tired?"

"I was..Panicing." That's just like her.

TIMESKIP

"I don't think we should be awake. Especially at 2:03..." Krista yawned and lazily put on foot in front of the other. In short, she kinda looked drunk. But that didn't stop me from dragging her. Well, dragging is too harsh of a word. More like forcefully making her walk at a fast pace.

"Shhh. I don't think you want to run laps from getting caught. I dorm care if I get in trouble, but you won't. "

KRISTA'S POV

(Y/n) always put others before him. It was almost like second nature to him. That's something I loved about him-he cared. Others might want to be their own person and decide for themselves. I had gotten so used to it. What was the point of arguing? I knew I could take care of myself. (Y/n) showed me that, but why should I be upset if I knew the person I love was selfless?

"Okay, but can you at least carry me?" He chuckled and threw me over his shoulder.

At least I don't have to walk.

"Hey hey. Don't fall asleep. We're almost there. " I nodded and drew shapes and letters on his back, to which he responded with a smile as he looked over his shoulder at me. I was once again swaying back and forth, like at Trost. The memory should bother me, but it was more comforting than anything else. It was the first time I had actually made a difference in someone's life, much less a boy's.

I was gently stood on my feet, though the hands never left my arms, as if the person they belonged to was afraid I would fall and break. I looked around and saw we were in the forest, but in the tiniest clearing was a small blanket with a single white rose. Or what looked like a single white rose. When I got closer, they were aligning the clearing. I was tired before, now I never want to go back to sleep.

"When d-did you find time t-to do this?" (Y/n) walked towards the blanket and shrugged.

"I honestly don't know, but I'm glad you like it." I was still surprised he would even think of this. In a world like this, there isn't really anymore room for romance, even if it's short lived. You would think things like this would be basically extinct, especially with all the stuff we've all been through, much less (y/n). Seeing this was enough for anyone to cry. And that's what I did.

"Why are you crying?"

"Y-you used to never smile or t-talk to anyone. Always s-sat in away from everyone w-with a straight face. Now, barely a year later, you've done this-" I was cut short by a comfortingly tight hug.

"You're right. I honestly thought I wouldn't be able to interact with anyone until the day I was paired with you. And we've both had a lot of shit to carry, so let's just enjoy this while we can. " (Y/n) pulled back with a closed-eye smile that made my heart race a one million times faster. That smile was never faltered or left his face as he wiped away the tears on mine.

"I guess we're lucky we met aren't we?" His smile, if even possible, had gotten bigger, and it was one of the best sights I had seen since I was little.
