Your POV
You greedily sipped your iced coffee as you walked back to your car. Heath sat there patiently as he looked over at you, clambering into his car still grumbling. He opened his mouth to say something but you glared at him and looked the other way. He sighed and just began to drive over to where everyone else was. Heath knew he'd fucked up when you refused to even look at him for the rest of the car ride.
"You can't be mad at me forever" Heath said hoping to spark at least something from you
Nothing.
He let out a sigh and stared at you, your eyes trained on the scenery outside, you were in your own little world wondering what life would be like if you'd done or been someone different. His fingers twitched against the steering wheel as he glanced down at your hands that were placed on your lap. You could feel his stare on you but you didn't make it known. Frustrated, Heath continued the drive silently.
"I'm sorry Y/N" He frowned "I didn't know that you'd be this upset"
"Of course I'm upset! You threw away the last thing I had of my father!" You sneered at him "You went through my belongings and tossed it as if it was yours"
"I promise that I'll find it, I'm really sorry" Heath said close to tears
"I will never forgive you." You snapped at him "Actually we're through"
"What don't be ridiculous Y/N" Heath scoffed trying to grab your hand as you opened the door to his truck.
"No Heath, you went through my stuff and tossed away my belongings" You restated "Not only that but you were tying to see if I cheated on you! You have no trust in me"
Heath rubbed his face as he watched you walk inside the first people you saw was David, Jason and Trisha. Trisha noticed you first, she had a bright smile on her face that dropped as she saw the state you were in.
"Y/N what's wrong?" She asked concerned
"Heath and I broke up but I" You choked on your sobs as you looked away from the three
"Come on I'll give you a ride home" David said gently placing his arm around you
Jason and Trisha sat in the back of David's car and listened to you retell the whole story to them. You had mentioned all the fights you were having with Heath leading up to this exact moment. David rubbed circles on the back of your head as he nodded along to everything you said.
"That was uncalled for him to do" Jason said "He's a grown man and he should have more respect for you"
"I am done with him and his shitty apologies" You state "Thank you for this guys"
"Anytime" David smiled kindly making you feel way better than when you'd first seen him earlier.
Everything would be okay and the shittyness would soon go away. You just needed the time to be you and to do what you wanted. Heath continued to try and apologize but just like you said, you were done with him and his apology that meant nothing.
